laptop for playing rs on 3-4 clients / watching videos is this good?

thinking of buying this lap top is it worth it for the price will be used to play rs on 3-4 osbuddy clients as well as watch netflix. thanks in advance

 

should be strong enough to do that, if it gets too hot netflix may start to lag though, unlikely i doubt it though

Well I've ordered a dell XPS 13 with an i7 (7th gen so new iGPU)/8GB ram for like $999 and im still shitting it as to whether I can play RS without FPS drops/loud thermal throttling. I don't see the laptop you've listed running JUST 1 client without any bad FPS drops.

Have a look on amazon warehouse deals for laptops with a dedicated GPU, you can find some pretty cheap unopened return/damaged box laptops at that sort of budget.

 

would you recommend any of these?

They're not brand new but refurbished (sometimes you can get a new one but just unboxed) at almost 30-40% off RRP + you're getting top specs. Certain inspiron models are about $300-400 + you can find 20-30% discount codes. Just find something with 8GB RAM/Dedicated graphics/i5+ and you should be good to run 2-3 clients.

 

and when I said 3-4 clients obv thats not going to be a thing ill take a look but i guess im going to try and find one for 2 clients

in terms of price to specs ect. coming to conclusions will be used for 2 osbuddy clients max and just watching movies/netflix at same time or not depends.

 

When it comes down to just that, the Lenovo probably is your best bet. Biggest screen + newest processor. Should be able to run 2 clients just fine.

Just look into replacing the HDD with a SSD in the future.

If you go with that Lenovo, I would recommend adding another 8gb of ram. 8gb in this day in age is basically the bare minimum, especially if you plan to run bots with it while still using it.

45% of the ram ill probably upgrade to 16 soon enough

 

Nice 1. The laptop has nice specs for the price, you wouldnt catch me with it though shit is a tank.

I do think 8gb ram is enough for your needs. Consider doing a fresh install of windows if theres a ton of Lenovo bloatware. It can slow the system down slightly.
