    Headset suggestions?

I live in AUSTRALIA, so don't suggest anything from newegg and stuff. I have a budget of $100ish(not a lot I know.) This would be for PC, must have a MIC.

Currently thinking of Steelseries Siberia V2 PC Gaming Headset which is $98 at Harvey Norman, any other suggestions?

    Thanks. <3

I have a budget of $100, so they're out of the question. D:

These will only be used for gaming/some youtube at night btw.
From reviews I've read these steelseries are a great buy at $100, so unless anyone else has suggestions in my budget I'ma get em.

Bit sick and running late on time, so I'll just give names rather than links (can't remember that site you use :p)

Corsair Gaming Audio Series HS1A - $90 USD
    Corsair Vengeance 1500 - $100 USD
    Logitech G35 - $98 USD

Not sure on conversion rates so forgive me if those are out of your range, just trying to help. My personal choice out of the three would be the G35, though I will admit I haven't done that much research on them.

Overrated. I hated Astros when I had them. I just bought some $270 beaches.

    Turtle Beach x12s are $60.

Steelseries or Razer both make great gaming headsets. I would recommend either.

I've heard turtlebeaches break really easy so I'd like to avoid them.

    All good Ivy. :p
The HS1A's are actually cheaper on PCCG, the G35's are $40 above my range, if I had the money I'd def buy them.

I'll go check out the reviews on the HS1A's then I'll decide between them or the Steelseries.
    Thanks guys. ^.^

Stay away from Turtle Beach, wire broke after 6 months of use. I can highly recommend the Logitech G35 surround sound headset, the sound quality is so clear you can hear enemy footsteps in COD as if they were running past you in real life, plus the 7.1 surround sound makes it easier to tell what direction they are running in.

unfortunately my budget restricts me from getting anything more then $100 at this time, I'll def get the G35's or the equivalent to them when I upgrade my headset next(I'm thinking I'll upgrade it in a years time about, after I get a new PC)

I myself have a pair of beaches and love them, dunno how rough you are with them but considering its lasted over a year of teenage play, I'd say they're damn sturdy.

Razer Electra just came out, and i had the previous Razer Orcas. I love the things to death, and the Razer Electra is only suppose to be better.

I'm quite careful with my stuff, but I have read a lot that TB's break easy, that's why I'm avoiding them.
I'll have a look at the Razer's tho.

Anyone used the Razer Carcharias headset?

In defense of Turtle Beach, I've had a pair of X3s for 3 years and they're still in like-new condition. I'm relatively rough on my electronics. Just as long as you don't step on them or something you would be fine. My girlfriend's little brother also has X11s and they're still in like-new condition as well. He's definitely really rough on his electronics, no doubt about it.

Only reason I didn't recommend them is because there's better headsets in your price range. X12s would work pretty well though if you just wanted something to last you until you can buy a G35 or similar.

Eh, not a fan of TB anyway.

Atm I'm leaning towards the siberias, or saving an extra $50 and getting Audio-Technica ATH-AD700s.
I'm thinking I'll grab the siberias, then eventually give them to my brother and get a sound card + a nice $200+ headset(inb4soundcardsareuseless), they do help a lot on higher end headsets. :p

    Cheers guys, decision is made.

Don't most headsets in that price range come with their own built in amp?

Not 100% sure, I'm horrible with audio equipment.
But if I'm planning to get a high quality headset no point holding it back with onboard sound. All in the futute tho, must wait til I atleast get a new pc. :p
