OmgXD.com?

Has anybody heard anything about it? I am not sure it's a virus, but I've been getting a bunch of spam AIM messages from friends saying "they're inviting me to OMGXD" but the friend wasn't logged in to chat or anything. It asks you for your password to sign up - it says it's like a place to chat and play games with AIM buddies. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it.

AND BTW, don't tell me to "justfuckinggoogleit.com" because I already have and have seen many mixed replies. I was wondering if anyone in this community has any idea.

From what it sounds like, you're just getting a lot of pop-ups. Try checking your firewall settings to be sure everything is on. If they are then try reading this a little. http://www.howtogetridofstuff.com/computer-problems/how-to-get-rid-of-pop-ups/

 

Eh? It's not really a pop-up, people I am friends with on AIM are literally IM'ing me saying "I've added you as a friend on OMGXD.com! Click here to sign up: linkhere" but when I say stuff like "why?" or "what is this?" they never respond - they sign off. It's not really a pop-up, but the service knows the people's password because it asks for it when you sign up. I have good pop-up blockers

i googled it and it says its a scamming site.. if u put in a fake pass they say "password sent"

I think its like the MSN virus going around, check the thing at the top where it says MSN virus going around.. Dont click it, most likely infectious virus.

It's likely a caused by your friends being infected with a virus or adware. I would not enter your details on that website, as it's quite obviously a scam.
