OMG,anyone face this runescape problem before?

Two days ago My friends got some problems ,it is first time i have seen this problem

When they log in runespcae ,it showes :Activity on this account has bee
exceeded
Please try it again tomorrow

but they still can not log in now and still say that ridiculous words ,any one know why??

Jagex could never implement something like this, unless the limit was literally 20 hours aday, the top players on the highscores probably play 16-18 hours aday so they couldnt make it that as it would affect legitimate players.

Are your friends botting 24/7 by any chance?

 

Maybe it's cause he's played too much? I've found this picture on reddit not-to-long ago. Perhaps he's in a similar situation:

They regularly had subtle messages in game etc about taking breaks, I think it's because of some troll newspaper article about a kid dying because he didn't eat or drink for the whole bonus exp weekend which caused some sort of hype,

Afterwards they started adding these hints everywhere, there was an answer in the stronghold of security which read something like "Remember to take regular breaks when playing", I think they just like to make sure the younger players aren't addicted/obsessed and if you play non stop for a long period of time they just encourage you to log off for a bit, they don't want a bad reputation if something happens to someone I guess.

 

Perhaps Jagex is acting upon this incident.

I think it's a good idea anyway, anyone who actually legits as much as people bot (8hours+/day) should really be considering getting help for game addiction - and I think this is a good idea Jagex implemented to stop players from getting carried away during events like Bonus Exp.

 

So I am guessing the playing limit is 20 hours per day ? Wtf... I can go 24/7 lol
