Why do people use imageshack?

Seriously, that picture uploading site is fucking terrible, you can't zoom in on the pics (even when they're extremely small, which is most of the time) and it just plain sucks. So yeah, why do people use such a shitty pic uploader, why not use tinypic.com or something.

 

Imageshack has been around for awhile. Some people are just more comfortable using it.

 

I just like it better than other picture uploading sites

Most people either don't care enough to start using a different image uploader, or they don't know about better sites.

Ot: I use it because it's pretty easy and I don't really want to change, also I believe tinypic needs registration or something :S

 

I believe when you want to upload a photo for free you would use some search engine such as google and you would search
"upload picture"
image shack is in the top 5 search results, and it is just easy for people to upload a photo

 

It's a shit site. I used it a couple times years ago when other uploading sites were down, but other than that I stay away from it.

 

You can upload and resize a picture. What more do you want?

 

Who gives a shit? I've never even needed to zoom in on a picture before. The only thing I care about is being able to resize it.

 

I used it all the time and I've had zero problems with it. It's good because you can re size pictures but I've never had the need to zoom into pictures.

 

I actually agree with the OP. After using TinyPic, I've never looked back or even considered using IS anymore.

- photobucket & tinypic delete pictures that exceed bandwidth
- photobucket & tinypic delete pictures that exceed a certain age
- tinypic 60% of the time reduces the image quality, file size, and resolution

The main reason I use imageshack, without an account I may add, is not for uploading, or resizing.
The main reason I use imageshack is because I can upload MULTIPLE images all at once. I don't have to keep going back to home page like TinyPic.
Plus, I have to enter a code everytime I upload an image on TinyPic, and for the recent Jailbreak guide I made, that would have taken me ALL day.
So imageshack is GREAT.
Upload multiple images, no "human check" code to enter, post all images at once with the multiple code it gives you.
Couldn't have asked for any better.

Imageshack was the first I ever used in 2003 and the first time I learned about uploading images. Its just been around and alot of people know about it.
I do use tinypic alot more now though because of the shorter urls. Imageshack now has longer urls.

I don't use anything other than tinypic.

 

I don't see why not. I just use it because it has nice quality, versus minus which makes my pics look pretty LQ.
