I'm a noob.

Teach me about avatars. Like why the hell when you use a transparent background, does it comes up white (as of right now I just use paint to make the background the same color -_-). And, why does that thin like show up on the right side of the avatar if I do that (use paint); I noticed some people don't have avatars that do that. Also, teach me how to use a gif as an avatar. I tried and my gif stayed still and I also had the transparent background problem (yes I'm sure the gif was correct size allocation and whatnot). Start teaching.

I don't know if you can save it as a .png in paint, but in photoshop i save it was a .png and it works

 

Hmm, that's what I do, too. Save as a .png in Photoshop with a transparent background, but it comes up with a white background when I upload it.


And FG4, how would Firefox 3 help? (I am using Firefox, btw, just not the newest version)

Maybe it has to do with the color scale?

 

PNG transparency does not work in IE6 and earlier.

Either way, I set that as your avatar through the mod cp.
