Need Laptop Help Porfavor

So, lookin' for an ultrabook and not looking to spend over a grand.

Looking at either an Asus Zenbook (13.3"), Dell XPS 14 (14"), or an HP Spectre (15'.)

Not too sure what size screen to go with, or really the ultrabook itself; just something light and decently powerful. 1080p preferred, usb 3.0, good wifi, that stuff

Can't really find anything with haswell/2013 for under a thousand so I'm mainly looking at 2012.

Soooo, thoughts on a laptop

tl;dr I don't know which to get, Zenbook or an XPS 14

help pls

What it's coming down to is the following:

13.3" 1080P with 4-5 hours of battery life - 3.2 pounds

14" 900P with 7-9 hours of battery life - 4.8 pounds

Specs are practically identical, 14" = $90 more

So, like is 13.3" too small? which to go with :3

 

You talking quad core or dual?

 

If there's a quad one around (that I can afford), then definitely quad

but as of now pretty much all I've seen is dual, generally an i7-3517u/37u/something along those lines that's 1.8-2.0 ghz that turbos to 3.0-3.2

Mainly due to an extremely low energy consumption (battery life on these are 5-10 hours.)

From a glance at the options I would get the Zenbook or Spectre.. never heard of the Spectre but still.

 

Get the XPS 14. You can't find a better deal than that. The SSD alone is worth atleast $300 + it has the 630m gfx card.

 

I've been looking since my first comment nothing will beat that.

Could get a hybrid and simply have the OS on it for nearly $100 less

As an owner of a Dell XPS 17... I do not recommend Dell if they give you this type of junk lmao.

 

fffffffff XPS weights over 8 lbs.. so may be looking at the asus again

So.. I'm reading about it and perhaps Amazon was wrong. I'm finding reviews saying it's like 4.7 lbs which isn't too bad at all.
