Legacy isn't that great in my opinion. Go for OSRS.

My goal is to be maxed in combat and just pk and stake, nothing else really. Do you guys prefer Legacy mode in RS3 for that or old school RS? Which would benefit me the most in terms of having fun and making cash by selling my winning GP's?

If you want to Pk and stake, 07 is for you. If you want bossing/maxing, play RS3.
