Ruining Pures

Well, to make a long story short.... Me and a friend both have 1 def pures, their combat skills are nothing special and we tend to never pk and skill more than anything. We are thinking about ruining our pures and getting defence on them. i just think not being a pure would make things a lot easier. You can train easier, you dont have to bring food to kill low levels, you can do more things in the game etc... So i decided to post something about it to get someone else's opinion. What do you think? Should we stay pure? Or become mains?

 

Honestly, I'd say keep it a skiller/pure.

I had a very good skiller and decided that it would be cool to make it a pure as well (Same concept as yours). It was never the same.

If you really want, and if your skills arn't that high, then just start a new account and keep this pure.

 

leave that the same or you might regret it later. you can always gain levels but you cant take them back

 

... Or you could become a rune/beserker pure.

 

ye that works too. there a lots of quests you gotta do for a zerker so you might want to go barrow pure

 

I'd definitely say keep 'em pures. My old staker was 87-92-45, now it's 87-92-75 with 60 Prayer, and I REALLY regret getting more Defense/Prayer. True, if you're not going to PK you don't really NEED to keep it 1 def, but I've always liked getting the stats itself to be a great Pker more than I liked actually pking. I don't know, maybe I'm weird.

You are unsatisfied with 1 def.
But are full of regret as soon as you hit 2 defence.

I think making it a zerker pure is best.
You can do almost everything a main does and still PK. Also, you hit MUCH harder as a zerker as opposed to 1 def.
Whatever you do, don't train defence. All the quests you need to do get you to 45 defence :]

 

If you're not going to pk then why the fuck did you decide to make a pure in the first place?

 

He probably saw others with pures so he decided to make one

I had a lvl 3 with 99 wc and got pure.

if you are smart, the items as a p2p pure can have good defence bonuses.

I never had a problem training.

You will regret it at first.
Once you are 100+ cmb you won't look back.

 

Stay pure. It's much more impressive to have 1 def and 99s than higher def and fewer 99s.

Yea, always stick with ONE character account. I had a level 3 WCer with 80 wc and I made it a pure, I totally ruined it.

 

stay a pure, create another account and make that a main, if youve already spent time making it a pure dont ruin it

 

I prefer one of each:

Main
Skiller
Pure

Main stats = just raising everything, and making a lot of money and being a high level. Obviously the account you try to focus on.
Skiller stats = just raising everything non-combat, getting rich and surprising people with skillcapes.
Pure stats = just raising attack and strength, or range and mage, or any combination without getting defence and then going PKing and owning people. Again, an account to get rich on.
