OLD v.s NEW

Does anyone remember when the wilderness used to be a place to hang out and make friends along with a place to have fun? Now, you get rushed and your last seconds before you respawn in edgeville you get this "L2PK". I might be being biosed right now, because i have been playing awhile, but i am a big fan of letting veterans run the show. The wilderness, mainly Bounty World +1, is NOT a fun place to be anymore. People that started playing after wilderness was removed in 2007 have no earthly idea of how the wilderness was, there's no arguing with that it's a fact. My opinion on that fact, or rather where i stand on the situation is, people who have not expierienced the OLD wilderness are going to have a hard time coping with the people who have. Myself for example, i am 17 and started playing when i was in the 4th grade. I've been around the block on RuneScape a few good times, long enough to know that things have changed. I recently went to a NON +1 world(you wouldn't catch me dead in a +1) and went to green dragons to do some PK'ing. For those of you who don't know me, i DO NOT WHAT SO EVER believe in honor PK'ing. Anyways, back to my story, a pure comes up to me and starts attacking me (just how i like it, fuck people that ask me) so i turn on my melee prayer and start farcasting (at green dragons near clan wars). Apparently because i do this i am a "farcaster safer noob". So i stop farcasting and go toe to toe with him. This person i was fighting must've gotten Green Dragon PK'ing and Edgeville PK'ing completely mixed up. I wasn't there to show the person how much i live up to his standards of no safing and no farcasting, i was there to kill him as quick as possible(and maybe have enough sharks left over to get another kill before banking). Long story short, i kill him. A prime example of people today. When the old wilderness comes back, i am going to farcast, "PJ", pray, and tele against ANYONE who i may THINK is a new player. The people who started playing after 2007 are on the veteran's turf now, and have to deal with us.

Let's make the wildy what it used to be, support if your in.

I'm very similar. I'm 18 now and have been playing atleast since i was 10. You use to be able to pk and actually have respect for one another. Now all you see is L2PK noob or SAFER even when you eat at 10 hp ha. "KIDS" take this game to serious, they all learn off each other and when one of them says the L2PK they all think it makes them badass so they all say it.... Its really annoying. I hope the target system will still be intact.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but i seriously doubt the target system will still be there. Target system was meant for Bounty Hunters and Bounty Hunter Rouges.

 

Well, at first you complain about being rushed then go on to say you prayed, and farcasted at green drags..

I don't see how you can hate rushers, but find it ok to farcast, tele, pray, and PJ. A bit hypocritical, no?

For the record, I have been playing 6 years and I don't pk, ever.

EDIT: I'm going to have to agree with Mattjew on this. It is just a game, you seem to take it quite seriously.

 

China called they want their wall back. Seriously though, you're an idiot. Who cares if you've been playing for longer. Jesus christ, it's a game. You'd probably enjoy yourself more if you stopped thinking you were better than everybody and just played the game to enjoy it.

This is coming from someone who started playing in 2002. You're not better than anybody because you played before them. /thread

 

Its not about the pixels...its about the experience that you take with you after playing RS for a long time

 

People need to stop calling themselves veterans... We're all players of the same game and I'm not letting someone tell me how to play just because they call themselves "veterans". In the end it's all about enjoying the new update in your own way.

 

Sorry to be offtopic but that site is a java drive-by which installs a virus without letting you know. You should run a virus scan and make sure you're safe. A mod should edit all his posts and remove the links.

Anyway, what you seem to do here is start with your own, temporal, ethical view and then go on to dismiss similar sort of views with little to no reasoning. But anyway, I fail to understand why people give so much credit to those who tend to complain and berate during fights; it is obvious that this kind of behaviour almost never even stems from an accurate perception of the given situation.
