Creating an IM System

I was just curious if this could be done, because with the little time that I have been here on Sythe, not everyone has MSN or Aim to communicate so I believe adding an IM system or pretty much a little chat room on the Sythe site itself would be helpful.

Does anyone else agree with me?

 

I already suggested an IM system for Sythe, sorry, it simply can't be done.

 

If you can find a vB hack or mod for it, then it could be a possibility.

 

Ah okay, damn it would be hella convenient.

 

-1 just use a messenger. You can download and set up MSN messenger in a matter of minutes.

 

He's saying that not everyone has MSN to talk on... and plus its a pain adding ppl too...

I do agree it would be wayyy more convenient if could just chat to people on Sythe via IM....but I don't see how it could be done.

 

Which is why I said to download it ... It honestly takes less than 10 minutes to create a hotmail email address, download the MSN client, install, and log on.

 

Why not use MSN? Pretty much everyone on here does.

 

Or just make a unique place for people to talk and do account trades...

That way there isn't so many MSN hacks and impositions... It will be based off of the Sythe username.

Also, logs could be stored into a db for administrators to look over and review for scam reports.

 

Well said, this would make Sythe a more tight-knit & safe community in my opinion.

 

Absolutely. I've seen way to many people get their msn "hacked" one way or another. If this was possible somehow, it would benefit everyone.

Guys, just stop posting.. If theres a vBulletin Mod for it, just post it here and its a possibility, if not, it won't happen.

Its a great idea thought but unfortunately things cost money. There would need to be a deicated database to store all the logs which costs money..

 

It's been suggested before.

Basically, any sort of chat room/IRC would lag the site too much. Sorry.
