    Right, it's against policy to issue namechanges to anyone, including staff (unless it's for professional purposes).

    You can, however, reregister under a new username. So long as the two accounts you own do not interact on the forum in any way, this is not against the rules. But you'll have to use a proxy to sign up with a new account.
