In the medium-run, they will definitely take at least some hit in price, but as is usually with the RS market, they will probably panic drop lower than the price, so buying at the right time will yield some profit.

I wouldn't have thought that if you've fought through like 2 hours of waves, you wouldn't pick an uncut onyx?

 

But if you already had a cape MOST people wouldn't want more then 2 or so. And for two hours (I dont think it takes that long) you can get an onyx worth round 11m. Thats pretty good money per hour.

 

I suppose, but can't people just do a quick 11m stake in duel arena and get an uncut onyx? Baring in mind cost of pots, overloads etc. (if they are using them)

 

A maxed player can make around 4 - 5 m per hour, not sure on the costs of the supplies though.
Assuming the waves take you around 2 hours.
Could have potential to be quite profitable.

As far as I know it isn't that good for moneymaking.
Assuming at the current time only "maxed" players are capable of completing this they can be doing more profitable things.
Supplies cost a lot more than everyone thinks

I thought this minigame was meant to be hard.

If it really was hard then fury's wouldn't have dropped because it would still be hard to aquire onyx..

Seen lots of people do it.

 

Basically, this is right and wrong. It's right because, of course, people will find the exact way to easily beat the mini-game and farm onyx's. It's wrong because at some point, the price will stabilize (definitely at a higher price than the panic-sell price) and Jagex will probably make some sort of alteration to the mini-game.

My advice: Don't sell your furies yet, let the price stabilize as the mini-game becomes more incorporated into the game and fades away from the "new content" status it currently has.

I only have one fury anyways and I use it everyday, so I probably wouldn't sell it no matter what

 

A maxed player can do the cave in an hour. Depending on the price of an onyx it's a decent profit.
