Private Messaging not working

hi, i cannot search my own threads nor can i receive pm's from someone unless i pm first

it has to do with the character in my name

it wasnt a problem when i made this acc

any1 help?

Maybe admins will change/let you change your account? Had to go and make a weird name didn't you

 

Its the characters in your name. Not all web browsers at the moment support that character so they won't include it.

Only way to fix that is get a name change without an unrecognised character. However the admins don't usually give name changes out to normal users anymore. I'd say its worth asking though.

 

If you're not able to use the website, I'm sure the admins would alter the last two letters to "AY" (that's what it looks like?). I would say to PM them, but I guess you'll have to wait until one of them sees this thread.

 

It may just be a case of having those characters added to the whitelist. There was a period a while back where people were creating impostors etc with Greek letters or something like that, so I believe action was taken to disallow the use of random characters.

Try PM'ing a technical admin. Govind, Matthew etc.

 

Weird, I'd contact an admin about this.
