World at War sucks

NOTE: PC BETA WAS RELEASED 3 DAYS AGO

I started playing the PC BETA of World at War today - and it's bad. Really bad. I wasn't surprised, though - it was, afterall, made by Treyarch (for those who don't know - the one who crappified Call of Duty 3).

The graphics SOMETIMES are good to look at, but sometimes they look weird and some effects are sometimes out of sync or people going through certain parts of buildings since it wasn't made solid. Call of Duty 1's graphics and FPS rates beat Call of Duty 5 any time.

Another thing is that they practically ripped the whole Call of Duty 4 engine so it's like an expansion, and not a new game. It's pretty much the same thing except for the timeline. No new game modes, no new "twists", challenges or kill streak rewards. It's all the same, except it's fitted into the timeline.

One of the most annoying things on World at War is the rounds. It takes only a minute or two if you're lucky to finish one round (takes 6 round wins to win on the set map). The maps are small, so people can easily fly grenades everywhere and get everyone killed in what, 30 seconds maybe?

Tanks are back. Need I say more? [this is a bad thing if I need say more]

Well I'm not that surprised. I mean, Treyarch makes all the crappy Call of Duty games. Infinity Ward is so much better. I can't wait for CoD6!

 

What are your PC specs?

I'm in the Xbox 360 BETA, and it's fine, also they're obviously going to release bigger maps in the retail version.

And the whole Nazi Zombie survival had me sold ages ago.

It's a good game I'm not gonna lie but it brings nothing new to the table. You say they ripped off the CoD4 engine? Maybe it's because they used it.

There's nothing intuitive about it. Everything's the same. I will rape any of you on the 360 though no lie. I haven't even played since like the 2nd week of the beta.

apparently when you get a 7 kill streak you get dogs instead of a helicopter, judging by that it sounds worse than a nice dose of AIDS.

 

dogs are really effective lol. the only thing i hate is the noobs that glitch on roundhouse that go under the map

I actually love the beta. I have it for the 360 and it is really good imo.

Yeah, I'm sure it will get improved. It's only in beta version right now.

 

Got the full game the day it came out. Its so amazing.

 

The full game? I thought it wasnt out until tomorrow.

Anyway, I prefer Gears of War 2 to World at War, but I'm still gonna by WaW.

 

I got the full game when it came out too. It's still a fail. The singleplayer is no longer than Call of Duty 4 (8-9 hours) and all around it just sucks.
