[Official] Attack on Titan - Season 4 Discussion

Aside from the constant screaming and nonsensical talks, this episode was great.

 

Would hardly call it nonsensical. Pretty much all the dialogue in this episode had a connected parallel (i.e, Levi and Kenny), and references to previous battles that resulted in Levi's decision.

Personally thought it was a fantastic episode - you could truly see the raw emotion from all the characters.

Next episode should be the basement reveal hopefully!

 

It felt like they dragged on and on until the last moment. I hope they move onto the basement asap though.

Basement and flashback hype.

We now know a lot more of the world outside the wall, and even more so a more narrowed down time period (blimps, photos, canned food etc - ww1 / ww2).

Also appears that Eren is not Grishas first child (pic reference).

Hope you guys watched the post credit scene.

 

yeah we will learn a lot now that the end of the season is coming. cant wait

 

Best episode so far.

 

Yeah was a lot of new information this episode (some of it I already knew because I spoiled myself reading some of the wiki) . The pieces are finally coming together and were getting the bigger picture.

 

By far the best season of AoT so far.

 

newest episode had me shook after finding out new info about who killed erens mom etc.

Thoughts on the latest ep?

Personally thought it was extremely good. So much plot advancement, and so many unanswered questions finally answered.

The last 30 seconds tho, referencing Mikasa and Armin...curious to see how that pans out - time for the Titans may not be linear. Potentially memories can be sent back and forwards in time, all through the co-ordinate. Seems very likely this is the case.

Also makes sense now why Rod Reiss didn't want to inherit the Titan powers, due to the 13 year life span, and also makes sense why Rod's brother had to give it to his daughter at such a young age, because he was dying...and lastly, Grisha gave it to Eren when he was 12/13...essentially at the end of his life as well.

Just when we think most of the unknown has been answered. What an amazing show.

 

yeah was amazing. and yes the "paths" that connect every subject of ymir, as seen in the latest episode, transcend space and time and all intersect at the founding titan (psa annoucement). historia is able to see Ymirs memories just through touching the letter (we learn ymir died as we see the image of her about to be eaten to pass on her power) and then ofc the end where eren learns the truth about his coordinate power which more than likely can only be accessed through royal blood

 

Haven't watched it yet, but will update the post later. The anime has been on point the last few episodes.

 

That wraps up season 3. Imo, the best season thus far. So much character and plot progression, alongside character growth.

Season 4 will be the final season, due for release next year.

 

Finally got around to watching the rest of the reason. It shouldn't even be an opinion lol; it is the best season by far. If I were to judge this season as standalone then it would definitely be in my top 5 anime. The previous seasons had too much chatting and overdramatization that lead to nowhere.

As a side note, owl theme is one of the best I've heard in a looong time.

Shingeki No Kyojin Chapter 135

 

EXCITING TO SEE HOW THE MANGA COMPARES TO THE NEW SEASON

yeah 135 was a pretty good chapter

 

I just watched the first episode and the new quality of animation is amazing! The ending theme is also great:

 

yeah i wasnt a big fan of the op but once the ending started playing i was hooked

 

I actually liked the opening a lot, the dull abstract visuals and the vocals gave it a feel of melancholy reminiscent of World War II. Unlike the beginning seasons with a more hopeful feeling, this one really gave a sense of desolation, very fitting to this arc especially after reading the manga.
