    Medal of Honor review

I've noticed a lot of people were interested in this game... I got it release day. Here's my review on Medal of Honor.

    Campaign
Fun missions with a lot of old gimmicks redone. Instead of just lazing targets, you can call in a strafing run, guide bombs, etcetera... It's a fresh perspective on what's turning out to be the new modern games craze. Everyone and their mother is developing a modern game now. You get access to a sniping segment, but it's really lame. The AI stands still for you (oh lol what's a M82 Barret .50 cal gonna do?) while you shoot them. You'd think they might at least try to survive.

Questionable AI dot every mission... From snipers who will miss every shot to those damned RPG guys who hit you with a rocket behind a rock whilst another insurgent tags you with one bullet and you're dead. I often found them under stairs shooting at boxes and blindfiring behind crates- in the wrong direction.

The sounds; oh the sounds of Medal of Honor. From an M4 that sounds like corn popping to an M249 SAW that sounds like, and I'm not joking, a saw on wood. The AK-47 sounds off, the AK-74u is funky, and the PKM sounds like a techno remix of the M249 SAW noise. The snipers are wimpy and sound like nerf guns.

In short, the campaign is just another modern game with a few features that are okay. You're mostly some special ops guy who brings no ammo and drives loud vehicles to be secretive. And it ends weirdly too.

    Multiplayer
    Oh. My. God.

I thought MW2 was bad. I was wrong. MW2 is a heaven-sent chariot full of sexy women and delicious manly meals compared to Medal of Honor.

    Let's go through the classes.
    Assault
    Spec Ops
    Sniper
I'll tell you right now; Sniper is the best class and is absurdly broken. The other two are just 'there'.

    Why is Sniper broken?
    1) You don't have to lead your shots. They just teleport
    2) It's dead-accurate.
    3) The maps are tailor-made for sniping, or seem like it.
    4) The bolt-actions kill from the feet up.
    5) IED's kill-range is borked.
Basically, if you can't hit the broad side of a wall, you'll be a good sniper in Medal of Honor. Yes, that "can't" was intended.

Spec Ops has RPGs- good for taking out- er... Well, they don't kill people very well. I don't know how many it takes to destroy a tank, but it's more than two. He gets shotguns which are downright awful. They're more like a rigged confetti shooter than anything else. The SMGs are actually not that bad, you just have to maneuver around the silly maps a little better to make use of them.

Assault. Why do you exist? Your assault rifles are useless! The only good thing about this class is the ability to use LMGs. The LMGs are really freakin' good. Next to that, he's terrible.

The maps? They look like someone punched a cake then used it as the base for a majority of the maps. P.S. it's marble cake. They're too easy to spawn kill on, every class blends in like a fuckin' chameleon on them, and they're HUGE minus Kunar Base. Kunar Base is surprisingly one of the better maps on MoH.

Did I mention the MP was by DICE? Lol'd

    My verdict. 5.5/10
A few features redone that we've seen before in other games, horrible balancing in MP, and a glitchy and frame-rate-drop ridden SP really bog down what had a lot of potential. Sorry guys, I don't think MoH is worth the price tag. That's up to you though, I recommend renting it first! I'll also be more than glad to answer any questions about Medal of Honor, just ask!

I forgot to mention how random your deaths are in MoH!

Often times you'll just topple over, then it'll say you were killed by, a sniper, for instance. You usually can't tell what you're doing right or wrong, the game just slaps you on the wrist and gets you spawn-killed after that. There's no way of telling what's not working usually, it's unfortunately luck.

If you like high-octane campaigns, I'd say try renting it.

The multiplayer is a joke though.

I'd feel bad for people getting it for the MP. If they don't know what a FPS should be, it'll slide. If you've played, and I kid you not, MW2, you'll know something's wrong.

If you like forced spawns, overpowered classes, and generally dysfunctional gameplay, then by all means, purchase this game!

Pretty good review, I played it with my friends for about an hour or so and I really didn't like it, I think they failed overall with this game.

An overall failure is being generous. For DICE, the esteemed creators of the fucking BATTLEFIELD series to make a MP like this... Almost a $60 insult, DICE, almost.
