List of suggestions, please read and comment.

- Post LIMIT; you can only post on so many threads per day, I see so many people trying to make themselves look trusted by getting 400 posts in less than one month. They simply add spam to the forums which is no good for us, and usually the turn out to be scammers anyways. (im not sure if this is the same thing as what was mentioned on the do-not-suggest thread)

- Have people whos jobs are to change titles, or add an option to change titles for threads, PLEASE.

- User Educator status for RS2 guides, after all isn't this a Runescape forum?

- Disallow vouches/ proofs from trades not done on sythe, these can not be verified and are also constantly being abused by scammers.

- Require some form of photo evidence to prove a trade actually occured, or have members meet a certain requirement before they are allowed to vouch someone- ill admit, I dont know how this would work but there needs to be a solution to the scammers that make like a dozen accounts and vouch themselves.

- Start IP bans PLEASE, for repeat offenders

- More moderating in the "other games" forum section, way too much scamming goes on there, or at least enforcing the rules there

- Have officials look more deeply into scammer reports, make a database maybe, that way when same person gets reported by like 50 others, it gets noticed

- Spam filter installed in inbox, I've gotten dozens of phising site links

- Put limits on offensive language? seriously, some of the things said are just overkill

- No post limit, a lot of people make VALID posts, and just because other people fuck up, doesn't mean we should be punished. If you see someone spamming, and just repeatedly being annoying, report them and a moderator will take care of it.

- I believe the reason thread title's can't be changed is because if someone reports a thread it shows that thread's title. The ability to change it is given to the moderators so they can say that it is in fact the same. (ie. Bob reports Tom for a post "lol" in "Post Your Pics Here". Tom changes his post, thread owner changes the title of the thread. By the time a mod sees it, they cannot verify if it's the same spot or not.)

- RS2 is not as big on these forums as you think. In fact, the archives get more concentration from people than the market's, just not at any particular moment. The guide section is moderated fairly well, and as such does not deserve its own position. New guides are liked, or disliked, more than that... there's no reason really.

- If a vouch cannot be proven, EVEN IF it's through a PM, it's looked at as a false vouch, which is a bannable offense, if I'm correct. So people with false vouches should be reported to a moderator so they can take the proper action against the person.

- The system for vouches means nothing. True, a lot of people will respect, and more than likely use someone who has a lot of high quality vouches (respected staff/members), but that doesn't mean you should go just by that. Don't trust ANYONE when trading, do it carefully and cautiously, and always go with your gut. Vouches really don't mean much, so no matter how many someone has... just don't pay attention to them. Always go by what you know of the person, not what other people say to be true.

- IPs are banned more often than not. A list of banned IP address' is available somewhere in the top of the forums, if you want proof that several people are IP banned. Admins make sure those are handed out to the worst of the worst. (Scammers, and the like that have been denied appeals). Do remember that everyone deserves a chance to tell their side of the story, so just IP banning everyone doesn't solve anything.

- Moderating is just fine, as the people are doing their jobs. If you find a scammer, or a rule breaker, just report it and let the mods take care of it. Scamming is inevitable, and there's really not much of a way to prevent it. Moderator's do their job, be a good Samaritan and help out by letting them know of offenders.

- Generally if there's enough proof against someone they're banned. Multiple reports does not make them a scammer, however. Do remember that Pen had several hundreds of reports against him, but all were proven to be false. He's admin, and almost everyone trusts him. So just because there's many reports, doesn't mean it's true. And if they're suspected, they get a Trade With Caution rank, which lets people know to be careful with that person.

- The Spam Filter, it's not a bad idea, but it would take some work. Generally the sites change too much to fuck with it, and it'd just be more space taken up for something that will eventually die down. Report the private message, and a moderator will take care of the person.

- Flaming is not taken lightly on these forums, however, when you signed up to this site you said you were at least 13 years of age. The rating of vulgarity is pg-13, for adult content. That means that anything said on these forums is legal, and allowed. If someone uses them to flame you, again, report the post, and they will be dealt with. But any word, no matter how vulgar, is just a word. In fact, most of them are used as adjectives to increase the effect of the following word, which means filtering them would make our posts very bland. Cuss words are colorful, and add a lot of emotion to the writing.

EDIT: And I have done several trades on Sythe, I middlemanned for a while, got 3 people banned for scamming/IP banned, and such. Just in case you were going to say I didn't know what I was talking about. I know Sythe, almost, as well as the back of my hand ^.^.

 

I've done trades on Sythe before. If you get scammed or are worrying about getting scammed, don't trade. It's as easy as that. Plus, you suggestions are horrible. I also like to call Dustein a fucking cunt <3.

 

What part of " You will still get fucking scammed" do you not understand? And a vouch is something that you want to say, so if i want to vouch you and put fucking cunt in it, then i shall.

Alright, Where can i begin...

-On the post matter, I do not believe this should be put in. Although it is true, some members do spam, usually they get caught, Like 99% of the time. And, limiting someone to posts, if they are actually putting the posts to good use in wrong.

-Well for the titles of threads, possibly.. But you have to remember the un changable title, veiwing on forums, can serve as good proof, if someone scams, or does something against the rules. If someone could change it, just like that, Sythe would need to log them somehow.

-On the UE for Rs2 guides matter, I believe it is due, to the fact that, With thousands and thousands of Runescape guides on the internet, it is very possible that they can be ripped, and possibly not be caught. Also, a user educator is not just someone who knows about runescape. It's more about real things, To have knowledge is solving problems in the real world, and teaching about real world things, not just a game.

-For the require photos of the trade /actually/ happened, I do not think this is necessary. Basically, before you trade someone, as I've seen Moderators state, be sure to check out the vouches, and see if there was proof on the page for whatever trade they did. That's proof itself there.

-On the IP Ban matter, Sythe does IP Ban members already, It is just, that it is very possible to get back by simply changing your Static IP address, or possibly using a Proxy..

( In a nut shell, if getting back to Sythe was impossible, there wouldn't be a No Ban-Evading rule )

-For more moderating on the 'Other Game Section'. I'm not sure if you have seen but I believe Sythe does not fully abide by that section, and you must trade at your own risk there.

-On the Scamming Reports matter, Personally I dont care how many times someone said something like. 'He h4xored me.. or he sc4mm3d MEEE.'

Unless they have valid proof, there is no reason the person should be banned or taken off the forum.

-And lastly, on the offensive language matter. If you expected a forum with no swearing whatsoever, I reccomend.. WebKinz Forum!

Sorry, Anywho, Sythe is not a G rated forum, I think the aim is about PG. And mild swearing should be allowed for a teen audience in my mind.

Apart from those above suggestions, I think the rest could possibly be worothy of review, From my opinion.

I also might suggest to you, before suggesting try to make sure what you're suggesting is even worth suggesting, or if it is even possible. Just because, I have seen too many people making stupid suggestions, that just take up space on this forum.
