Islam.

Hi everyone, I am curious to see what all of you guys think of Islam. Also, do you have any questions about it?

I know that there is a huge sense of ambiguity surrounding this religion, and many people do not fully understand it.

I'd like to see your comments on this religion, and if you have questions I will do my best to answer them.

I didn't convert. I was born into the religion

 

Why do muslims not eat pork? I'm muslim and im not religious ,so thats why im asking.

In the bible, they also forbid pork, but i guess people didnt listen over there lol.

Nimla, i'll start off with a verse from the Quran:

" Let him find out which is the best food
( to be had ) ... Eat of the best foods We
have provided for you . "

( Holy Qur'an 18:19;7:160 )


It is scientifically proven that the Pig causes these diseases: TRICHINELLA SPIRATIS, TAENIA SOLIUM, ROUND WORMS, HOOK WORMS, SCHITOSOMA JAPONICUM, and plenty of other diseases.

Not only this, but the Pig is also the dirtiest of the domestical animals. Also, it is not good for general health.

I am not trying to bash anyone that eats pork, but the reason the Quran prohibits it is because of all of these things.


Also, the Quran and Bible are very similar. However, due to thousands of different translations and interpretations of the Bible, it has lost a lot of its original meaning.

The Quran is still 100% preserved in the Arabic form.

I view it the same as any other religion; A way to control the masses and mostly, if not all, fictional. Unlike a lot of the other religions though, I also see it as a fairly violent religion. That being said, I'm American (explains the violence bit, yes I know I'm biased, but I also seem to have nothing but bad experiences with those of that population where I live as well) and I generally consider myself an Agnostic Theist, so I have major gripes towards all religions.

 

Why is it abused to indoctrinate sharia law and to abuse women / homosexual people?

Why are many people who are raised under the Quran so wiling to accept what a book says without question?

Why does it clearly state to kill non believers?

Why in recent years is Islam invading Europe and taking over local governments to enforce the exact words of the Quran?

seriously, this belongs in the general section.

this section is for arguments and evidence backing them up, not about asking incredibly open ended questions.

 

I dislike how people choose to follow the religion in western countries that have a small population of islam / muslims, and try to make the country change it's rules to suit them.
Move to Europe/USA/Australia (western countries), follow the rules, if you don't eat pork, don't eat it, take the cloths of your face so people can see who you are.

Just imagine if a christian moved to Pakistan and started shoving the bible in their face, I'd dare say they would get shot.

I find Islam more a lifestyle then a religion.
Islam is build on love,peace and respect.
Sadly there is people that think Islam is a violence religion, If you are one of them then please.. take some time and do some research.

If you read the Holy Quran, You will understand and see very clearly that it says that no one are allowed to kill or punish a person.

And about the questions, Again if you read it you will find every answer you need, I guess thats why its a Holy book.

The holy Quran is not just loaded with rules, Its loaded with advice and wisdom.It is difficult and not my job to persuade you to read the Quran, but try to read it in english. I promise you that you will understand why its a Holy book and that its not loaded with 'horse shit' MATE. :noworry:

 

Qur'an:8:7 "Allah wished to confirm the truth by His words: 'Wipe the infidels out to the last.'"

I think you get the point.

You can't say the Quran is a book of peace when it explicitly says kill all non believers of islam, or to kill everyone untill Islam is the only religion.

I'm not here to debate a banning of it, im simply arguing with whoever is saying it's a religion of peace on the discussion of islam.

I just wouldn't mind them if they didn't try force the world to think the way they do.

The statement saying the bible is a lie, was just another reason why I dislike the religion.

How many religions are there? And they all think they are right? It's just not possible.

If it wasn't for religion we might actually have a normal peaceful world..

Bullshit, doesn't say thst in the Quraan, why would Muslims kill unbelievers? If this is so true, why didn't our prophet get all those unbelievers killed who threw stones at him when he walked through a village? Why did was he so nice and polite to the disbelievers which in itself got many more followers? So, with so many unbelievers converting theses days, why kill them. Those quotes are obviously from the worst site you could find them.
