Get rid of TWC

I'd suggest that we replace TWC with something like "suspicious activity" or "dangerous trader."

Mostly I suggest this because it should be clear to new people that you want to make every trade with caution, regardless of who it is with. By just having certain people labelled with trade with caution, it gives a false sense of security when looking at other profiles.

Sure it's a really minor suggestion and probably won't make a huge difference, I think it would help and should be looked into/discussed.

And yes, I did choose the most ridiculous title possible to get people to look at this.

Sometimes they're added because of completely different reasons, like that their msn's have been compromised on multiple basis's.
They suggest and urge the use of caution and a middleman during trading. They serve their purpose and do it well.

That's a good point, but I'm still not sure whether or not having it phrased like that is a good idea.

What would you think of making TWC, Highly Trusted, OMM, and other ranks clickable, leading to a page that explains what they mean and how they get them?

This is why I posted this thread. I don't really know what the best solution is but it seems like there could be improvement to the site.

This sounds like a great idea as well. Since there are so many ways people get TWC, all with varying degrees of seriousness, the more specific ranks would help out people determining how/if to trade with them.

Support,could you do a new topic and state both specific ranks? I also suggest the same symbol but different rank names.
Edit: I support one for , suspicious activity and another one for compromised accounts involving requests for it. At least, one for "Requested trade with caution"

 

'Trade With Caution', that's all you need to know to be cautious when trading with a person, and it would just take up more time for staff to assign a specific rank for TWC. It's not hard to search why they have a TWC. No support.

 

I really think that the clickable part would help everyone, especially new players. Definitely support. also, breaking the TWC into two more specific ranks isnt a bad idea either.

 

How would it take staff more time to assign a specific rank for a TWC? When a report is posted and it looks like enough evidence for a TWC to be requested how hard can it be to request a specific TWC instead of just a TWC?

 

Because out of the two ranks that could be given, people may do something that doesn't quite fit the rank their given. As said before, there are many, many ways you could get a TWC and out of the two ranks given either of them may be inaccurate. A simple 'TWC' is enough, and if that's not enough, why not just link to the report given when you click on the TWC rank?

That could be a third, a requested TwC, or DNT (Do not trade), could be useful when you don't ever use the market but and in case you get hacked you are secure. And it the case someone trades with hackers, it wouldn't be other trader's fault.

Dividing into 2-3 slightly more specific ranks will for like all people, give a FAST way to determine why that person has TwC and weather or not he is to not be trusted, or trust with precautions, or not trade at all.

If 3 ranks are inaccurate... figure how inaccurate is ONE. LOL >_<

 

I support more specific "TwC" groups, for users to be divided in.
This would, at the time, really have helped Video for example.

Trade With Caution is to broad of a term considering every trade should be done with caution, but something like "dangerous trader" doesn't apply in all categories.

 

I wish there was a reason for why they got the TWC, I mean I had reported a kid to get a TWC after he refused an OMM and told us that we were both scammers, I think theres a good reason.

It would be good if the rank was clickable linking to a reason why they had the TwC, I don't think it was take too much time to explain why.

 

TWC doesn't label someone as a scammer it just warns people to Trade With Caution.

I don't see why adding different ranks would be needed, I think I can speak for everyone when I say.. As soon as I joined Sythe you know to be careful trading TwC people.

Twc fucked me as well.

I also completely support the idea of different ranks for different situations. When people see a twc, they rarely think right off the bat it's just something that had to be stuck to the person because of a hacking.

 

I'd like it to be more specific because as it is right now I'll avoid trading with anyone who displays a TWC. If a reason, or a more specific title was in place it may make things easier.
