Opinions of my sig :b?

Hi guys I just made this signature, I am pretty newbie with photoshop so did my best lol

Can anyone throw me some suggestions on any changes that would make it look better?

 

Just for future reference if you are showcasing work, do do in the graphics gallery.

It's pretty basic. Try experimenting with layer styles. Another thing you may as well pick up now is the fact that it clips quite badly (you can see the edges in parts). You might want to erase the edges with a soft brush so it fades out to transparency or look into borders, but borders are mostly just for tags.

 

Moved, as Jack stated in the above post, you should try and get a smooth fade to the background your image is going to be on. It looks very choppy if it doesn't fade. Try working with some blending options with the layer such as drop shadows etc.

 

throw that crap away ( you'll laugh at it later trust me) and look up guides after guids after guids. great place to start is deviant art. planetrender has good tutorials in their forums. just google begginer photoshop tutorials and you'll kick off from there

Looks choppy, also a bit plain and boring. Better than what I could do, I need to get myself Photoshop again. I lost it when my old hard drive crapped out.

 

For your first time, not bad at all. Trust us, we all did something like that when we all started. Just youtube search tutorials.
