Explanation of the trade:
I had an agreement with Chicks that I would receive Zelle payments from their customers and in return I would send them a bank wire for 2x the amount of the outstanding received payments and receive the second half of the wire amount as a crypto swap. We ceased the arrangement on 5/18/2022 as I was stepping away from the operation of any sythe related activities/businesses that I ran, and I no longer needed swaps nor would be able to receive payments for them as I would be inactive.

Then after I became inactive, they continued to send payments to my Zelle account without requesting permission. I am just now having some availability to tie up any loose ends related to my previous operations such as this and I came back to many messages from chicks staff requesting that I repay all the payments they sent to my Zelle after our agreement had come to an end. They said they occurred because they had customers who sent payments to my Zelle before confirming with them about the information to send the payments too. They list 5 payments totaling 1435.19 USD that have been sent to my account.

Our agreement concluded on 5/18/22 and they have payments listed as sent to my account on: 5/23, 5/25, 5/28, and 6/28.

The company formation (space station gold llc) and accounts which were used for this are no longer active so tracking the funds will be a pain, and there is an inherent risk of fraud when receiving Zelle payments which can result in payment reversals but also account closures and negative impact on a business's credit score and ability to open other accounts. While the business is no longer active, when I notified them that the agreement was done, I stopped getting swaps to crypto and therefore should have stopped having to risk receiving Zelle payments to space station gold accounts especially while I was unaware.

However, if Sythe staff feel that I am required to track down and confirm these payments and return the funds to chicks I will do so at my earliest convenience.

Just to give our perspective on this matter :

Spacegems did indeed confirm that our agreement would stop on the 18th and we did everything that was required on our end. We changed the account that customers send zelle from Space's to ours before that date on the website. The problem at hand is that we got some customers that didn't bother to check if our email had changed and just sent the amount before opening a chat with us or marking the order as sent on our website. Since your email was still the one they had from the past, they assumed it was the same.

Now, zelle chargebacks are hard to do and they also cause a lot of headaches for both parties involved and no party loves doing that therefore we decided that we'd wait for you to come back and give those funds whilst accepting those rare occurences of customers placing orders via the old email. All the other customers paid via our new email without issue, it just happened that some customers didn't bother to check if it had changed but that doesn't go to say that some mistake made by them should mean that we get punished. The funds were sent and not chargebacked as of yet by the customers (we also did the adequate verification for it). Had we just told them that we don't have access to the account, they would've chargebacked which would've been a bigger risk of fraud and everything being frozen and your credit score been worse, something we didn't wanna take.

I can provide proof that we changed our email correctly on our site before the agreement ended. I'm also happy to answer any other question. There's no harsh feelings in this matter regardless.

 

Just to clarify as well, on your end the tag should've been changed as well when business ended to prevent those mistakes from happening and it wasn't done. The email was [email protected] which only had a link to Chicks.

I am quite glad you guys 'decided' not to cause chargebacks as this is exactly the sort of risk I should not have been opened up to and you're right it can cause substantial issues on the receiving end.

I believe you are correct about the email link; I am unsure of whether the account these payments were made to is currently still open or not, but I do not recall ever manually unlinking your Zelle email as I wasn't asked to do so, and it simply slipped my mind as I had much larger things going on at the time. The accounts can have multiple Zelle emails attached so it didn't cause any troubles that would have brought it to my notice before I became inactive.

Hoping to clear it up either way a decision goes so that I don't have anything outstanding cheers
