Runescape 2006 Or 2009?

I know there is probably a very similar post to this somewhere but im kinda new so i just wanted to earn some respect.

RS 2006:

Had the wildy,
Free Trade,
Acceptable graphics,
Over 1 million Players,
Lots of bots to report [More chance of becoming mod]

RS 2009:

Lots of new minigames,
New quests,
No wildy,
Pvp Worlds,
Bh Worlds,
Better graphics,
New Weps,
Less Scams and bots,
GE

Everyone who played rs in 2006 or early 2007 knew that it was great! you could run around lumbridge reporting all the scamming noobs then go lure someone into the wilderness and own em! You would have to stand outside varrok bank for hours shouting "SELLING 100 IRON ORE 200K!". We may have hated it then but im sure some of us would have liked that atmosphere.

Although some of the things in old rs were anoying they were what made rs popular like the wildy and free trade. Although we may have hated it sometimes im pretty sure most of us would like to have some features from old rs back!

Scince then Runescape 2009 [RT5] has seen massive improvement but was it for the best? There are still bots and scams and we have lost the wildy!!!! the huge factor which made loads of ppl quit. New updates and new skills but if you had the choice would you play 2006 or 2009? I would play 2006 because it was what i loved and enjoyed.


So my question to you guys. Would you rather have RS 2006 OR 2009?

2006, i enjoyed standing around trying to sell my items, and being scammed by fake rares *polished buttons*

Meh, i loved back when pking really made sense, and the training was really worth it, and you could merchant.

2009.
- Much better graphics
- Grand Exchange for convinience
- Many new, exciting quests and areas to explore, not to mention the new items, espeically godswords.

And much more.

BTW. There are definetly more bots these days than 2006. Hardly anyone knew about bots in 2006, but now a days every good farming spot you are guarenteed to find a bot or 2 farming the spot.

BTW2. I've been playing for over 6 years so don't give me "Newfag, you don't know how good RS was back then!"

i dont think there are more BOT-USERS as there were back in 2006 but you would just be walking through lumbridge and you could see 20 level 3's wearing nothing chopping a yew tree with the standard chatacter clothing,green top, bald head with a beard =P

 

I prefer 2006 not only for the player killing but i like how everything is so simple and listening to the music. it just made runescape more funner and better. now people are more hectic to dupe the system, mess with the item prices, pk with no honor just killing everyone in sight. and also all the useless updates that we dont need.

The only thing i enjoy is the graphical updates because it brings more relalistic gameplay.

 

I love it how most of these people probably never played in 2006 and just want to fit in.

2009.
I played from 02 to the beginning of 09.

 

2006 with HD and it would've been perfect, no more updates were needed.

Also I loled at you thinking having people to report (and therefore a chance to become mod) is a cool thing to include. Is there no honor among thieves? I'm sure you botted too..

 

2006. The GE RUINED. I mean fucking RUINED RS. I stopped playing as soon as it came it. Worst update to the game to date. Graphics were fine before. All the new minigames suck. Quests are pointless. New weapons are pointless. 2006 rocked, 2009 sucks dicks and is made for idiots to be able to play easily.

 

and no i never botted back in the old days.
