    Move To AlertPay

    Hi,

So a lot these issues with PayPal could be easily solved by switching to AlertPay. AlertPay is just like PayPal but better.(http://AlertPay.com)

You can find a lot of information here.

If the whole Sythe market would use AlertPay then I'm sure the amount of scammer reports would go down. If someone charges back via cc then AlertPay "restricts(limits) their AlertPay account. Their fees aren't really that high depending on which type of account you make, this making it better than WU.

So please support this by adding an AlertPay payment option in any of your sales.

Edit : Maybe we could get this method of payment as a method of donation payments.

I do agree that AlertPay is a much safer, easier way to trade. However PayPal has pretty much cemented its spot as the way to trade here on Sythe.

Currently it has but if we can get a lot of people supporting this then it may change however it won't happen overnight.

AlertPay makes it harder to charge back payments and if they are charged back via a credit card then the person who charged back with the credit cards AlertPay account gets restricted(limited) automatically.

What if you buy something and the seller scams you? Will there be problems because of those "harder" chargebacks?

That brings up a good point. Either way you are sacrificing something. When using PayPal, it's easier to chargeback if you get scammed. When using AlertPay, chargebacks instantly freeze your account so it's less likely people will do that. Like Brendan mentioned, Sythe has come to use PayPal and little else. Due to the fact that you're sacrificing something by leaving PayPal, I doubt this will happen. Not to mention it would take quite a long time for most people to adopt the change.

Thanks for the link I see it's very hard to get your money back if the seller scams you, I'm a buyer most of time so I'll probably always use PayPal. Maybe I'll try AlertPay in the future.

Both Payment sending processors have different advantages and disadvantages to both buyer and sellers.

To buyers, PayPal seems better since charging back is easier if scammed.
To sellers, AlertPay is better since charging back is harder so scamming back money wont be as easily possible as it would be in PayPal.

I will stay with PayPal even if I am mostly a seller, I don't want to take all the trouble changing. PayPal is not that bad and you wont get scammed if you trade with trusted people which is what I usually do so I am all good.

I would just suggest sticking to Paypal. Its impossible to solved all the problems unless we manage to get rid of all the scammers(which is impossible). We must sacrifice one thing for another. Is all.

I'm not suggesting you change just because of charge-backs but for your own good, what if your PayPal gets limited for no reason and you lose a lot of money? AlertPay is just as easy as PayPal.

This issue is solved by verifying your paypal account.

The thing is, its extremely hard for people to all of a sudden switch. I mean everyone has money on their Paypal, now they have to all withdraw it out then switch over to Alertpay? Its a pain in the ass, thatsa ll.

I mean maybe it cant happen little by little, but i doubt it.

Not everyone can or wants to verify their PayPal account.

I know this can't happen overnight as I said and it will take time but if people are willing to do it then others will.

It would be great, but Paypal has many free offers. If you would like me to be specific AlertPay charges 20$ for a eCheck Transfer where as Paypal it is free and takes just the same amount of time. There are many fees all over the site you just have to find them. I understand your paying for safety, but it will take a matter of time before people find a way around AlertPay as well as they have with Paypal.

Yes there are fees however they are a lot cheaper compared to MB and WU. Plus not many people use eChecks.

This is preference and not a suggestion. We cannot force our users to pay via alertpay.
