Opening Effigies

I began to get curious after seeing how many effigies Snow Patrol has amassed, and was wondering what is the best method for opening these if you do not actually have the required skills yourself? I have roughly 10 effigies that I want to open and get the lamps to hopefully put towards the last few skills that I need for turmoil. What are some of the best methods of opening these?

I dropped by W117 but was slightly disappointed, as right now there are far more people who need assists than those who are offering them. And the few people who are offering assists are charging ridiculous amounts. Is there a CC or something that is dedicated to people who can help you open all your effigies, or a thread on the forums dedicated to finding people to help you?

 

It's a good idea to save them until you do have the required levels to do them all yourself. However, if you decide you need the bonus xp lamp sooner, you can try the cc assistclan (all assists are free). Otherwise, try w117 another time - there's usually more people offering than asking.

 

Yeah "assistclan" is good or try the rs forums under team help or something. Im on my iPhone atm and cant remember what it's called otherwise I'd look for you. Sorry hope it helped a lil bit haha.

 

Thanks Sin I realize that it would be much more practical to wait until I have the levels myself, except I highly doubt I will ever both training those skills that high... this is on my barrows pure, and the only reason I want the lamps is so that I can save a bit of time training the last few non combat skills I need before I meet all the requirements for Temple at Sennisten.

I managed to find a few free assists and I now have 1 sated effigy, and 2 nourished. Still a long ways to go until any of them are cracked open though.

How much exp do the dragonkin lamps provide anyways? And what are the rules around using them?

Hey zerk. If I was you I would try and get the levels required however they might be boring horrid and a drag but I think they shall be worth it, not long until turmoil I see! :nuts: You could just go to the assistclan as a few friends have told me they are good. I wish you the best of luck on turmoil and any other goals you have. Much love(no homo)

I don't think getting all my skills to 97 just for 10 effigies would be worth it, atleast not on my PKing account But I will most likely save any that I get on my main account for the day that I have the required skill to open them myself.

PS - As for my turmoil goal, I just got 95 prayer a few days ago and so all I have to do is finish up the last few reqs I need for the pre-required quests, and then get those quests done. Then I can do Temple at Sennisten and go crush some n00bs with turm Almost there man, thanks for the support!
