Wildstar - Any good?

Hi folks.

A little background before I begin.
I had been playing Runescape for 7 years or so, the last 4 (around that) being a mix of Runescape and Private Servers. I have now moved on from Runescape and played Guildwars 2 and Star Wars the Old Republic since. I currently only play SWTOR though.
I've been getting a little fed up of SWTOR recently, and started looking into Wildstar.

I've been watching videos for quite some time now, and read reviews on it. The consensus is that it's a relatively good game. However, when I ask people about it on SWTOR they always seem to say it's rubbish. Though, I believe a fair share of those have never played it, or just want to bad mouth it because they are on SWTOR.

So... I'm hoping one (or some) of you can help me here.

I do enjoy PvE and the occasional raid, however I won't go out of my way to get the best gear for PvE normally.
I mainly PvP and to be honest.. I enjoy Tanking, Healing and DPS. That being said, on SWTOR and GW2 I tend to swap characters A LOT.

Would anyone recommend Wildstar?

How is the PvP?

Is the game still active?

Is the game actually enjoyable and not a huge grind fest? (I don't mind some grind, because it makes MMO challenging) - I'm not going to have to spend months on end to get a good item? (like Gw2 Legendaries for example).

I'd also like to know. I would assume if you enjoyed GW2 then you would probably enjoy Wild Star.

From what I have read it is another WoW clone pretty much, nothing new brought to the table.

 

This is basically what I took from the gameplay I've seen on it. Looks kind of WoW/GWish. Hopefully someone who has actually played it can shed some light.

 

I have never played WoW, so it may be something new to me.
The videos I have watched, it does seem pretty fun. I'm just looking to know if this is the case for the whole game or does it die out pretty fast.
Also, if there are still a large number of players?

 

Well, consider WoW as one of the well known games online out there. There are lots and lots of players, the game doesn't die fast, that's why they got more than 1-2 million people playing it each day. You need to pay $15.99 each month in order to play it. It's kinda hard in the beginning but trust me that you will get used to. It's not only PvE but PvP also.

 

more or less wow with only like 7 abilities, so if you are the type who can't use alot of hotkeys its perfect for you.

personally i din't enjoy it, it felt to dull for me ability wise and has really no customization of abilities.

I'm not sure I want to play WoW to be honest. It's been around for years and if Runescape is anything to go by, I can't imagine starting that from scratch again.
WoW seems like one of those MMO's that take a very long time before you reach somewhere enjoyable (For example being able to high-end PvM in RS)

Other MMO's that I have played such as SWTOR and Gw2 only take a few weeks at most before you're practically at end-game and PvP etc.

The graphics in WoW look dreadful too.

PvE in WoW is super simple to get into. All you need is to read a bit and you're pretty much good. There's heaps of crappy players that do PvE...

 

Basically WoW with less abilities. I'd stick to WoW.

 

It's just a WoW clone. No one is innovating.
