Hushmail

I've seen a few people use it on sythe.

Why do people use hushmail when we have gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc.

 

Security.

 

This. The phrase you set is pretty much impossible to be hacked. There isn't a recovery system like there is for hotmail either.

 

I don't like how a @hush email is automatically deleted after inactive use for 3 weeks.

 

Hushmail has better email security afaik.

 

I bought mine for the 34.95 or so a year

 

Basically once every year there is always a big thing where some people find the latest exploit for hotmail and all those emails and they manage to compromise a respected traders email, like a large gold seller etc. They will then scam users from this, meaning the legitimate gold seller has to pay them back. Therefore paying the $35 or whatever it is far outweighs the possible thousands they'd have to repay to users who got scammed.

 

Or you can just log in before the 3 weeks of inactivity. Inconvenient but not hard to do.

 

Even easier when you have important emails that tou have to read sent to your hushmail

 

Hushmail is good for security. I have used it on numerous occasions. Love it way more than Hotmail...
