    It's quite basic. One thing you should nail now at the start is to try and avoid clipping, where the graphics piece goes off of the piece - especially on transparent pieces. Asides from that you should look up some tutorials for advanced text and effects though I am unsure of the capabilities of gimp as I've only used photoshop.

    I dislike the background, it really doesn't fit in. I would really suggest you to look in to some tutorials for GIMP and then go back and practice some more. Best of luck!

    Everyone starts somewhere my friend and that actually looks pretty good, have some more time getting used to your software and no doubt you'll get better!
