New to BTC, need help

Alright so the only thing I want to do with BTC is be able to sell my GP, receive the BTC and then cash out into my local bank account.

I live in the USA, which wallet would you recommend to do this, and do you have any other general tips? Thank you

Check out Coinbase or GDAX. Both easy.
