Most of those weren't banned for scamming, it was other incidents none correlating trust. Although some were.

But anyway, these OMM can frame everyone who ever sold an account and used them. They can recover the account and the buyer would excuse and charge back the seller...

Yes, some middlemen (Slaveofthebeast, Mountain Drew, etc.) have unfortunately fell victims to temptation, and that isn't necessarily avoidable. Sythe.org has a number of long-standing Official Middlemen who have handled exceptionally large trades which, I say with due honesty, many other Sythe.org users would not think twice about commandeering for themselves.

At the end of the day, a middleman application and vote can only determine so much. You may appear superficially to be virtuous when you are in fact not. When I first joined in 2007, demotions of middlemen and staff for scamming were quite frequent, and it was commonly accepted that many of the staff and middlemen were engaging in dubious activities. I've now been on staff for over two years, and this is the best team of staff and middlemen I've ever seen; demotions for scamming are almost non-existent and most middlemen have a great degree of integrity.

The majority of demotions you've cited are past ones, and the fact that the recent demotions on your list are not only few but are also not for scamming seems to suggest that our middlemen are chosen pretty well. Naturally, we aren't infallible, nor are we experts in human psychology. We do as well as we possibly can.

Anyway, you can't pick out who is going to scam after they get an OMM rank. Also, why are you worried about sythe MMs your already a vader who most likely is banned for scamming.

 

I think it's just a matter of time before a trusted member loses intrest in sythe. Which leads to them scamming.

 

If you think this is true, I hate to be the member that trades with you the day you lose interest in Sythe. OMM are picked because they're dedicated and worked hard for their accomplishment of reaching their goal, I doubt any of the current OMM's would risk losing something they put hours into and the respect from a lot of well known members, just because they lost interest in the site.

 

It has to be true. Admins, mods, omms that worked forever for that position. They wouldn't scam and expect to still be on this site.

The whole notion behind this thread is a joke. You can point out just as many ex-staff that scammed as OMM's. Hell, you're a ban evader - let's count up how many ban evaders scammed. Oh right.

 

MMmmm It's only a one occurrence thing, and only 1-3 have actually scammed.

 

You cant look into the future to see what an omm will do haha
