[Food] Arby's - Bourbon BBQ Brisket Sandwich + Citrus Cherry Mtn Dew (Fountain Version) Review

I had a coupon for free fries and a free drink, so I figured I'd dew this for the Dew. This sandwich isn't technically new; it was released last year and I think a few years before that.

Let's start with... the crispy onions. They actually tasted like real onions, unlike most places where you get those French's crap fried onion strips. I was surprised how good they were and different from the usual.

BBQ Sauce - Basic sauce. Moving on. Burger was mostly dry so at least the BBQ sauce wasn't overpowering.

Cheddar Cheese - Good cheese.

Brisket - First two bites had amazing flavor. Great meaty taste, but I wouldn't really call it brisket-like. Good nonetheless. But the flavor was covered up by...

Brown Sugar Bacon - I look it up after being extremely disappointed with this. Yes, it is made in house so YMMV with this but as you can see the bacon has WAY too much sugar. I felt like I was biting into candy for most of this sandwich. I should have taken the bacon off, but I had to review it as is. This bacon can turn out AWFUL, or turn out amazing (one of the pieces was actually pretty dang good).

I can see why they offer bacon with their milkshakes for 50 cents more. That was pure candy.

Low 2/5 - The burger has potential to be a 4/5 or high 4/5 if it wasn't for that sweet, sweet bacon.

Mtn Dew tastes like cough medicine. First time I've said that about cherry soda flavoring. The canned version tastes good, though.

Low 1/5 on the Dew.

Man, cherry citrus mtn dew sounds so damn good. Shame it sucked

 

NO COUPON =[. Pretty much only did this for the free drink.

I was so shocked. It is pretty good in can form - not the best Dew but it is a good release. I can only imagine what my friends who think cherry syrup in Freestyle machines tastes like cough syrup would think of this.

Also, do we have a Dew rating chart somewhere? Berry Lime Game Fuel needs more recognition as the best.

Cheese looks like it was melted 6 hours before buying.

Bacon looks like it was dropped in a diarrhea toilet and left out to dry.

No sauce at all.

Bread looks like its about to fall apart and crumble by just touching it.

0/10 would not even lick.

 

Melted cheese is perfect I don't care when it was melted as long as it was melted.

Bacon very much agree.

Sauce agree.

Bread extremely disagree bread was perfect but didn't mention it because it was nothing special. Just bread.

I'm honestly in the mindset of going back to get my money back.. I know I can do it if I raise a fuss lmao. Was awful.

 

Not sure. But I do know that Code Red reigns supreme over all other Dew.

 

Their roast beef with au juis sandwich is fire

 

I got over Code Red a long time ago. Still good, but Voltage and Berry Lime beat it imo. I need to find a bottle of livewire again.

Always wanted to try this out but the concept disgusts me everytime people describe it. "Oh man the sauce gets so delicious the more meat you put thru it" like ew.

 

Out of curiousity, I went ahead and checked out the new flavors.

The next Game Fuel pair is a Blueberry Dew alongside a Tropical pineappley flavor. Pineapple sodas all taste the same to me so eh.

Also for Christmas there's a Red + Green mix similar to DEW S A. Yawn.
