50 Posts to post a link?

I'm not talking about image links. I'm talking about download links which leads us to virus 99.99% of the time. Obviously though other links like tinypic/youtube would be allowed. Would this be viable? Is it possible to implement?

 

I'm not really an expert when it comes to forum add-ons, but this sounds like a lot of trouble. The best way to be safe is to use common sense... I think little kiddos should get infected once in a while to learn their lessons.

 

I'ma go with this. The first time I got infected, I learned about MalwareBytes, HijackThis, etc.

Really helped me become virus-free and learn about viruses and shit.

 

There are a million ways to just avoid the system. People will just put underscores and other things to get the point across with out putting a direct link. It may be fairly hard to do in the admin cp I don't know for sure.

 

Yeah it would be a bit hard to. Also they would just add underscores and such to the link...

It's better for kids to learn now about the internet than later when it comes to viruses and such.

 

You just said exactly what the two posts above you said, barely even changed the words.

On Topic: I don't know that it's possible to implement this but still allow Youtube etc. to be posted at <50, which would create the problem that if someone wanted to show off pking vids and stuff they would spam to make that possible.

It's a nice idea but I see it being very flawed.

 

I think its possible to do this it is needed IMO.

 

If you're unsure about a link, report it, and just let others know not to trust it, a mod will gladly make sure the link is valid or not.

 

use sites like virustotal to scan links before you download and always have an antivirus software installed I'd recommend Antivira (It's free!)

Yes that's true. some of the download videos have virus, so we should aware of downloading. all we have to do is to scan it first before downloading the items. Seriously we cannot stop it.

 

Yup, that would stop the annoying spam that I see every now and then. 10/10.

But maybe shorten it to 40 posts since it might be annoying.

 

It could work, but people would find someway to get around it. Just hover your cursor or the link and/or check it through your internet security.
