Battle: Los Angeles

So, i went and saw this movie Friday night.

I thought it was pretty good, though it was extremely cliche in some parts. Plenty of action in it, seems to have a pretty good plot and i wish they had played on it more ( The invaders colonizing Earth for its resources, mainly water ). It was pretty long as well.


Has anyone else seen it?

 

I just actually saw it and was about to make a topic lol. Anyways I did see it at the theaters and was pretty surprised that it was actually good. Lots of action throughout along with a message about what you are in for when becoming part of the armed forces. "Aliens" are pretty creative as well too reminded me of Halo or something haha

I reviewed it and gave it 3/5 stars. I mean it could have been much better especially with the storyline on the invasion
But it felt realistic and it was a just a fun ride.

 

Yea about 1/2 through the movie i started comparing it to Humans vs The Covenant. I could agree on 3/5 stars, could improve on some of the acting, as well as play off the plot a lot more.

 

Personally i haven't seen the movie, but it looks pretty damn interesting. I'm always a sucker for sci-fi scenarios lol

 

Went and saw this movie last night. I was high, and I thought it was a freaking awesome movie. I fell asleep, though, somehow. Going to download it when it comes out on DVD and rewatch it.. high.

 

This is like the 4th Battle: Los Angeles thread... Anyway, I think I'm seeing it this weekend.

 

The trailer kept reminding me of War of the Worlds.

But Im still planning on seeing it.

 

I'm not usually into sci-fi movies, but my boyfriend dragged me to it, and I really enjoyed it. Def would recommend to anybody wanting a good movie

 

I didn't like it much. The plot was long winded, kind of corny and predictable. It was hardly the battle of all time I expected and turned into more of a survivor of this group movie. Left far too many ideas and concepts unexplored. My gf's verdict: "I didn't care for it all the good parts are in the previews."

I got the feeling they skipped most of the battle, and it ended up just the 7 of them fighting and then at the end there was like thousands of troops around still

lots of loose ends, glad i watched, but not a great film.

 

Was about to watch it but decided on Hall Pass instead, this movie got horrid reviews :S
