New Simple Method to avoid getting scammed

So, you see a leecher (or another user) who is selling an account, or selling some gold..

Copy their MSN or email, paste into google.

It should bring up a bunch of links, check the Sythe link's. If it pulls up a different account name that is banned and their MSN is inputted then you can report them. :)

I've caught about 10 people that are ban evaders so far doing this, this past week.

It also work's on people who have been here for awhile, you just have a bunch more links to check.

    Hope this helps,
    Fury!

This works, but i would'nt use it sorley by it's self.

People should use MM/OMMs for all trades anyways.

Of course, this is just an extra precautionary measure. Maybe could get a sticky? :)

    It's great.
You google their MSN and find if their a ban evader, etc.
I normally use it too :)

Someone whos actually smart will probably change their email when trying to evade a ban or scam. Also, you can search the Sythe site, not just google

That works well. I used it with this guy who had the same msn in two accounts. I reported him, but they said your allowed to have 2 accounts (but is frowned apon) if none of them are banned. If 1 is banned, all your accounts are banned.

Your half-baked idea will not get stickied just because you make a poll.

Firstly, your method is inefficient and unresearched; rather than search every post with the same email, users could actually use the search features, and simply google the email -"current sythe username". Secondly, a lot of people already do this. Finally, if it does become standard practice to check emails, evaders will simply wise up and use new MSN addresses for each account. Warning them in advance that people will be checking will destroy one of the few detection methods we have available.
