a sythe market world?

i thought it'd be kind of cool if sythe had like an official rs world that sythe memebrs trade rs items in, not accounts or for irl stuff.

what you all think?

 

I dont think there would be a big point in that, except grouping all the members into one world so that jagex can ban sythe members more easily.

It wouldn't be hard to tell if we were from sythe, if anyone in the ranks of jagex (gold crown) were around to get an IP address, or simply joined sythe.org, and looked in the market for a bit. Someone could talk about trading gold, and from then on, jagex staff could just wait in one of the three trading hot spots, and see if people come there to trade. Then they check later when you log the item numbers that were last traded, see if it matched what you said, and your banned.

The downside to my whole theory - People don't know enough about their own systems to know how to do that. Most of Jagex staff are IT people, who just own one of the servers. It's that simple to become a gold-crown.

 

I don't think jagex is that smart, in my opinion.

Exactly, pretty pointless thinking about it.

 

Its not that they would know we were from sythe, its that they take MANY different things to account if people are Real world trading.

One thing is WHERE you trade, many people that do illegal trades go behind lumby castle in a F2P world. Another is the trade of 2 buckets for 5M RSGP. Another is the fact that the 2 people didnt know each other at all and are trading. If both people were in the same world, its just another "Assurance" that the person was real world trading, so they can ban that person, and when that person says no i wasnt RWT, they have proof to back it up.
