New rule to the guide sales section

A new rule should be that you may not ask to receive the guide for free or any other price other than what the seller offers to avoid spam such as "Can I be your first vouch and get this guide free?"

I think that the only way a customer can get a guide free in the sales section is when the seller offers a certain amount free or a cut price.

With the guide sale being monitored, I don't see an issue with people offering what isn't specified. Obviously, anything stupid, such as "Can I get a free guide, i'll vouch" should be infracted. But I think offers should be allowed and let it be up to the OP to decline it.

 

The problem is that these type of quotes come up all too often and that is why I am regarding it as a current issue.

 

I'm sure the mods will have no problem infracting the user if they see it necessary. I think sellers of guides should be able to speak for themselves, rather then be confined to one option. Obviously you don't seem to like it, so you can just report the post.

 

I report similar posts that you have described and mods take care of them, not a big deal really.

Ok about the poll and ok about reporting the posts, but I'm sure it's not amazingly hard to add the sentence in if there's a possible infraction for it.

 

Have you ever bothered to read the rules sticky in there?

"1) Attempting to guess a guide is counted as spam. You will be infracted.

4) Do NOT request to "verify" a guide if you're not a Moderator and/or Trusted Verifier. You will be infracted the first time, then banned from the guide sales section the second time.

6) Posts saying "I'll buy when a mod verifies" or anything along those lines will be infracted."

 

Updated the sticky to include infractions for "can I have a free first copy" posts, but outside of that all other grievances discussed in OP are already addressed in the sticky.
