Narrowing and Expanding my Champion Pool

Hi guise. I'm going to make this thread to show you what I like to play, and who I play at the moment. If you have any suggestions, shoot. I can play any lane, but I prefer solo lanes/adc.

Top - Elise, Kennen, Kha'Zix, Zed, Ezreal, Nidalee, Poppy, Irelia, Kayle
Mid - Elise, Kennen, Kha'Zix, Zed, Twisted Fate, Ryze, Nidalee, Cassiopeia, Kayle, Lulu, Ziggs, Fizz
Jungle - Shyvana, Malphite, Maokai, Amumu, Shen, Sejuani, Elise, Rammus
ADC - Miss Fortune, Caitlyn, Ezreal, Corki, Draven, Ashe
Support - Lulu, Soraka, Sona, Taric, Thresh, Blitzcrank, Elise, Kayle

I can play these champions quite well, enough to carry. My main is Elise.

My main role is jungle so I have some insight there:

Malphite and shen are very hard to pull off in solo Q cuz their pre-6 ganks are awful. You need a team who can handle going to 10:00 without any ganks. Elise jungle is OK but she does much better if she can snowball in lane with lots of kills and CS.

Try adding in nocturne, volibear, and nautilus. They are three of my favorites to play. Also, Lee Sin is a good option especially in lower ELOs because you can easily get fed. (In higher games with less kills, he falls off pretty fast.) Hecarim is obviously absurdly strong, but his banrate is so bad. ;)

I do like most of your jungle choice. Please DON'T play Amumu unless you are actually good with him. Despite popular belief, he'd actually pretty weak unless you are skilled.

    I have to agree.
in Bronze Amumu, Malphite & shen are instant bans, although I don't see why.

trydamere is enjoyable to play atm, and he has the ability to carry a team.

Shen is still a good pick, especially if you are a good Shen in bronze. Those teams are usually not coordinated enough to handle a split push. I just had a game with a Shen, and the other three in our team were saying they were going to report him because he wouldn't group mid. However, while we were distracting mid and bottom, he took their inhib turret top hella early, and from there we had gained enough momentum to win easily.

Shen's admittedly a weak pick for the traditional bronze playstyle of "Farm and get fed in lane, then group mid and hope your team wins the ensuing teamfights." But if you are able to split push smartly (by not overextending unless you know you are safe), then he's very scary.

On the other hand, Malphite isn't really that amazing. He's "good" in lane in bronze because everyone always expects to get kills or your lane is lost. It's pretty hard to kill a malphite. Also, he's "good" in teamfights because everyone in bronze only attacks the tank, and he's probably the most tanky tank there is.

I play a good Amumu. I hit good ults and hit many of my tosses.

With my friends in 5's, we do some team comps and things like that. That's why I learned to play malphite.

I've played Tryndamere before pre-nerfs. I've tried playing him after nerfs, I just don't like him as much to be honest.

He's good in the sense that you have to understand you're really screwing your team pre-6, so you need it in premades only. However, after 6 his initiate is really good in teamfights, and his tankiness is very hard to beat.

A good use of malphite would be to have 2 assassins instead of just 1. With leona support and malphite top/jungle, there's enough initiate and peel to usually get away with it. However, his CD's are high and his damage output is low unless you build AD malphite (even with AP, his dps is low due to the cooldowns). He's fine, but definitely not worth banning every single game.

On the other hand, I'm loading a game where our support insta-locked malphite and said "GG them." Malphite is a god-awful support.... >_> So maybe people ban him so their idiot teammates wont insta-lock him.
