    New PC Build?

You want to run a K-series CPU on a B75 motherboard? either upgrade the MOBO to z77 so you can actually have the capability to overclock your overclockable CPU, or downgrade your CPU to a NON-K chip so the CPU doesn't go to waste. B75 doesn't support overclocking.

or perhaps go to a i5-4670k on a z87/z97 motherboard. I would suggest this route for not much more money at all. You'll get a small boost in performance...but a boost is a boost. Features on the z87/97 motherboards are superior to z77.

also, there is nothing wrong with your power supply. Just MAKE SURE with that one you run TWO INDEPENDENT CABLES to your graphics card from your power supply. Some cables will have a built-in jumper where you can run a single cable from the power supply to dual 8-pin on the GPU, DO NOT use this on your r9-290x with that power supply. This would be fine on some cards with that PSU, but not the 290x. The reason for this is that each 12v rail only supplies 24 amps. If you tried to power the GPU off a single 12v rail instead of dual rails, your PSU would fault and throw itself into protection mode once you loaded that GPU up. You also would run the risk of burning the GPU up. I could run that GPU off a single rail on my power supply to a dual 8-pin r9-290x with a single cable, but I have 70A available on a single 12v Rail.

If I didn't make this clear enough, please ask. The power supply is fine, so don't feel the need to change that for another one.

That's a mini itx motherboard. it would work but its very small. The case you chose is a micro-atx case, so ideally you should go with an matx motherboard.

the downside is that you're trying to build a PC with an outdated CPU+mobo chipset. So from looking at the available options on PCpartpicker, there are only 3 available amongst major retailers. here: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/compa...-p8z77mpro,gigabyte-motherboard-gaz77md3hmvp/

My first recommendation will generally always be an ASUS board. in the case of the choices available to you, I'm not particularly fond of any of the readily available options. If I had to choose from those three, I'd pick the Gigabyte board. If I were to recommend anything at all, beyond those three options, I'd suggest you get a more modern generation of CPU/Motherboard to make your shopping much easier.

    New PC Build?

Alright well i went wit ha totally different build with an upgraded i5, an msi motherboard and updated to a gold series power cord. Only issue is i ordered 80% of my parts from newegg and today i received that my payment was not authorized(something with paypal) and it made me void the order. But all my discounts went away and after 2 hours on hold they only were going to offer me free shipping. So i just shopped around on amazon, so hopefully everything will work

I can only imagine how that sucks... You should get with newegg about that and call bullshit on it. Nonetheless, this happens to many many many people who make big purchases on electronics parts, PC parts especially cuz they're so pricy. Happened to me a great number of times, but at least theyre making sure its me and not some sneaky bugger from Malaysia or wherever who might have stolen my information to buy those parts.

what did you end up upgrading to?

Not bad, but i would rethink about the other parts focus more on your Processor and Graphics.
