business boost in summer?

anyone thinking that gold will rise from today's price forward? in the summer there will be more people with more time, so maybe the runescape underground business will rise? i was thinking about stocking on some GP to hold onto until like mid-summer (mainly 07).

Or could it go down because more money will be flooded in game? Just something i was thinking about.

 

There generally is more activity in the summer, but not necessarily a price rise. There are many other factors that influence the price such as updates and ban rates etc.

 

Even to gain like 30 cents overall on an investment I wouldn't complain for. The problem would be selling it .. i'm super afraid to get into gold because of the chargebacks, it's like giving out free money lol. I was just thinking about investing into a sum of gold to just make a small profit, but it seems like it wouldn't work out for many reasons.

 

I think it would be wise to stock some GP.

Historically, Summer doesn't have as big of a price impact as Christmas or Jagex announcements/updates.

The only reason I see gold going up in price is because more people will want to buy gold (more demand). But I suppose time will tell .

 

What would make them want to buy more gold? There needs to be an incentive, and more free time isn't one.

 

Well, any online game has a rise in play time on worldwide holidays. Whether that means more people will buy gold or not is a different matter; there are other factors to take in to consideration such as people being more weary of being banned these days, to name one.

 

There would be an increase in activity but I doubt the impact will be as great as Xmas or updates even if gold prices increase

More activity wouldn't touch the price necessarily, but it will for sure cause for more demand.

 

Let's not forgot in the christmas the gold (sell) price was almost .57 at one point. I loved it lol.
I think it's 50/50, more activity indeed but doesn't mean the price will rise.
At the same there will also be more goldfarmers,suppliers etc
