Have there been issues with bans after using the referral service?

 

I've heard bans become a problem after 200+ refs

Personally i purchased 100, no problem at all

If you are caught you get your rewards removed and banned from referring people in the future, you will still be able to play the game.

I got banned when they made the switch from raf1 to raf2 but they were much more strict then.

 

Is it possible to make your own accounts and do it yourself?

 

It is, but you will have to level your accounts to level 10, which others do using bots.

 

What did that change bring about?

 

They were doing a lot of bans at the time to make a point of how it's against the rules and the new system won't tolerate abuse.

 

But currently, they dont take things as seriously?

 

i've seem many recent complaints on some foruns but those are normally from 150+ refs... The risk exists, but for 150- is less.

 

There is always a risk in everything you do in life. Sometimes large, sometimes little, the fewer refferals you buy, the less risk you run of getting caught.

Also, take a look at the rewards and at what levels. as well, if you get like 150 refferals in a day or two, then they would probably be able to tell that someone did it.

My advice is to not get a large amount and ask for it to be spread out over a little bit of time instead of it all being reffered on a single say or something.

 

Is it really that unrealistic to say that someone might have just put their username in a widely viewed area (school boards/websites/etc.) and a lot of people joined quickly... The way league is going now i can't see them actually banning a lot of people for it. It might have been more likely when they were smaller but i feel like they have bigger fish to fry now.

 

yeah and all of them(precisely 25-50-75-100-150) joined on the same day, and stopped playing at lvl 10.

 

do they nab you on the referrals or when they hit level 10. I assumed you would be in the clear by then.

 

You get creddited for the refferals but if they notice that all the accs are lvl 10 on a single day with no accs afterwards then the chances are that it was obtained illegally.

In short if all the accs are made on one day, are at one of the reward checkpoints and if the accs all stop playing at lvl 10, then they will probably know that its not legal refferals.

 

So what would be a good amount to buy to ensure that you have a less likely chance of being caught for it? If you don't mind me asking.
