    Before I start to talk about my suggestion let's be honest this won't benefit me in anyway , this is more of helpful suggest and I would like to see community output on it before tyler locks it.

    I have made many attempts to change and alter the pardon system as I currently don't like the way works and I feel as if this modification by being first step towards changing the pardon system.

    Now my suggestion is to remove the pardon system (for people who have been banned for 8 years or more) and give people a free pass as long as their original ban reason is something over the top such as finn ban (corrupting staff powers by getting people to send him nudes for leak information from the staff lounge at the time),

    I feel as if 8 years is a very long period of time and most of the user of that time frame would have grown, hopefully for the better.

    Now by the 8 year period what I mean is people who simply have been banned for 8 years, so from 2017 to 2009 for example.

    Obviously, they will need to pay back debts etc so they will need to throw slight part of the pardon system, but I would like them to be able to skip the voting part as it is quite a bit amount of time considering the average age of this community is 20, so 20 - 8 = 12, so by clearly I mean should a person really be judged by the actions they made when they were 12?

    I will as always be making suggestions to alter the pardon system and change even though I don't plan on being as active as I was on the forums.

    Here an example of someone who recently pardoned who was struggled through pardon's to unbanned @vlad-da-vamp , I know he was banned for some time I believe it was in 8 year gap I said,
    there are very few member's who would benefit from this but I see it as a good start to making patch's in the pardon system

    as someone who was banned for 8 years i appreciate the sentiment behind it and it was a difficult process to deal with, especially considering only a handful members of staff remembered my case. however, i feel like it's just another condition to add (banned for 8 years? that's a (semi) free pass! banned for 7.5? normal rules.)

    i think something more along the lines of 5 years from the offence which lead to the ban would be beneficial to ease the process, as it was difficult having to dig up stuff from 8 years ago, but i can't really think of anything that would help which doesn't negatively impact on sythe's security. there's a reason a user was banned (apart from in very specific circumstances like you mentioned) and there's usually two reasons a member would be banned after 5 years: either his pardons have been unsuccessful (for a reason) or he hasn't tried pardoning. the easiest thing i could imagine would be to encourage staff to be a touch more lenient in these dated cases within reason.

    it also wouldn't hurt to make a line of contact easier to come by. as my case was quite complicated (as most old cases are) i was extremely lucky that @Soul agreed to give up his time to help me out and tell me what information i needed to provide etc. if i had not done that, i don't think my pardon would've ever taken off properly.

    Why 8 years? that's such an odd number.

    I don't see a reason we cant just forgive offences 5+ years old provided their not a scam related offence.

    I support an implementation of statute of limitations towards rule breaking, but certain reasons for banning should and shouldn't have them.

    Example: Scamming 5+ years ago and being possibly underage should merit an unban with an addition of TWC/DNT to the user given they dispute, while things like hacking several Sythe users wouldn't merit any pardon.

    Someone pardoning from that long ago would receive an automatic DNT and their pardon would in all likelihood pass soon as the payback requirement is met.

    Amnesty is not going to happen, individuals can pardon and come back in full soon as their debts are repaid. We do not need to select some arbitrary number for a minuet amount of cases which would have to pay back the money to begin with.
