New Layout [Not finished yet]

Hey guys. I made a new layout, using the same style as my first (it sucked, btw).

I need advice on what to put in the content area (or if you find anything else that could go on it). And feel free to use it (I'm almost sure nobody will, haha).
Oh and tell me if your browser doesn't display it right.

 

Guys tell me what to put in the empty content area. I'm stuck. Whatever I put looks crappy.

 

You mean the empty space in the back? I cant believe im saying this but sometimes some nice scan lines look good there.

 

One thing that bothered me is that only the text on the buttons was clickable.

 

The white blank space. And umm I don't really like scan lines.

Umm what else do you want to click? And theres nothing really on it so I don't know what else I should make clickable.

 

Learn to make classes, make a new class for an image, and then use :hover to make the whole button hover to a new image.

 

I already know how to make a class and use :hover but it's a whole image. How would I make part of the navigation bar change?

 

In my opinion, the image at the top is a little too large. As others have said, the button hover needs to be fixed. Also, fixing the scroll bar along the bottom would be great. There shouldn't be one . I'm liking the smoothness and the general minimal look you've gone for here though, it does look nice.

 

make each part of it a different image, then make a hover image for each one, or make the two linked, and change the placement of the image on hover.
