Well let me sorta break it down for you.

Whenever you go to buy RS gold ofc you will go to the runescape gold section, but there are certain things you need to look for :

    1. Verified gold sellers suck as rsultimate, syed and people like that. These people are highly known on the site and not only have a lot of vouches but there vouches carry quality. You can also just look through that section and basically tell who you might want to buy gold from by there threads. Most of the gold buyers and sellers have the same sell and buy prices a because of the runescape market right now.
Whenever you are looking for a gold buyer look at there vouches, prices, feedback and there recent post these things will give you an edge of whatt the buyer actually does on the site, I always use rsultimate for selling and buying gold, but like I said there are others also if you want to donate I always use grave.

Whenever someone scams they are usually temp banned untill a moderate can get to the bottom of the situation
If you are scammed what you want to do is refer to the report a scammer thread, post pics of conversarions and trade usually this is skype oics not chat logs but actually screen views of the users profile and how it is linked to his sythe profile actual in game trades if you have them also if a service or something was incomplete use before and after pictures.

Usually if a user refuses to pay you back there temp bann goes from temp to perm unfortunantly the only thing sythe can do is ban the user they cant actually make them give you what was scammed back, but they usually give it there best shot.

Really all you need to do is look at quality of people with the rs gold section usually if you get scammed its your fault there are so many sucsessful gold sellers and buyers that you will probably never be scammed so if you are dumb enough to trade with someone with 3 vouches over 700 vouches shame on you.....

Anyways if you have any more questions feel free to pm me.

This was done on my S3 so sorry if some words are misspelled.

First of all look at a sellers reputation, quality of vouches far outweighs quantity. Vouches where the buyer went first show more trust on the sellers part. Until you're more knowledgable on who's trustworthy in the matket, you should trade with high profile 'businesses', you can tell who these are by the sheer size and age of their threads, you're not stupid you know what I mean.

Whilst trading you should screenshot every stage of the trade.
    • Their profile/PM including their contact details.
    • Proof you aren't talking with an imposter if you're using Skype by taking a screenshot of the contact's profile displaying the users Skype name.
    • Screen shots of the entire conversation, chat logs (text files) don't count - only raw, un-cropped conversation screen shots. If you're using MSN don't close the conversation until you have all of this. E-buddy isn't recommended.
    • Make sure they confirm their payment details, for example, Paypal e-mail.
    • Screen shot proof of you sending payment to the confirmed details.

Keep this information well organised should a chargeback occur in future.

If you are scammed, read this thread:
    http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer/1109411-how-make-proper-scam-report-rules-guidelines.html

Then post a scam report here which explains the trade in depth and provide as much proof to assist staff as possible:
    http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer/

If the user is found guilty they will be banned. You will need to be refunded if they intend to make a pardon or they were hacked. Otherwise, there's no guarantee of repayment.

To assist with a trade you can use a middleman.
You can find one here: http://www.sythe.org/middleman-forums/
An official middleman has been deemed trustworthy by the administration team.

Middlemen are there to, as the name suggests, literally middleman the transaction. They forward on the payment to the seller once you have received the goods. Some middlemen charge for the service, and are optional.

PM me if you need to know anything else.

You should inform the person who's being impersonated that he has an impersonator.
