Top 5-10 Games of All Time?

Post your favorite top 5-10 games! This can include series as well! Tell us what platform it's on or at least what platform you play(ed) it on. And maybe a little bit about why you love it! <3

Here's Mine (in no particular order):

1. Mass Effect Trilogy (Xbox 360)
Pretty sure this game HAS to be on everyone's Top Whatever list... I honestly don't even know how to describe why I love this game... Haha

2. Zelda Series (A lot.. haha)
My favorite would be The Twilight Princess, on Gamecube. Love all of these games. Yea, they all are pretty much the same, save the Prude bitch Zelda, but these games are incredible. I think they started getting stupid when they went to the Wii, just personal opinion though, as I haven't played any of the recent ones.

3. Pokemon (GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS)
Oh you all know you love exploring all the different regions with your little cute and badass Pokemon! I always loved how beating the Elite 4 and the Champion was always just the beginning. There is always so much more unlocked post-game. I remember always feeling a bit attached to my Pokemon. <3

4. Golden Sun (GBA)
Not a lot of people know about this game, but it's definitely noteworthy. It's your basic final fantasy type game. Random battle, leveling up, dungeons, and puzzles, but the storyline was incredible, I think. To this day, I play this game (and sometimes it's not-as-good sequel) on my phone via emulator.

5. Fallout 3 (xbox 360)
REally amazing game. So much to do, so much to kill, so much fun to be had. My favorite post-apocalyptic game ever. That and the fact that you have stats you can raise and specialize in certain things makes this game amazing.

6. Donkey Kong 64 (N64)
Oh damn. This game is just flat out awesome. It's got a lot of humor, as well as hidden adult humor. All the worlds are fun and it's amazing to be able to play as all the different Kong's!

7. Mario Party Series (N64, Wii)
The game that tore families and friendships apart! I remember always playing this with my brothers and literally trying to fuck them over in any way possible. Smashing at mini games and all that. Good times..

1. Final Fantasy VII (7) for PS1 - Played it on PS3 + Steam as well. PS same exact as PS1 Steam same exact with improved (crisper) Graphics (basically just a slight HD touch-up no massive changes)
2. Dead Rising - Xbox 360 (2007)
3. Runescape (Years 2005-2008 being my favorite)
4. NHL Hitz 2002 - Fun as hell arcade hockey game.
5. 3 on 3 NHL Arcade - Same as above, more recent.

 

Holy shit the nostalgia :') looking forward to the new one ..

League of Legends, Counter Strike, Halo, Call of Duty, Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter, Tekken, Grand Theft Auto, Need for Speed Underground 1, 2 and Most Wanted.

I kind of cheated :3 10 of the best series imo

 

To be honest, I puked a little in my mouth. It's all your preference ofc, but most of these aren't good games, they're engineered for the public masses to play and believe that they're good because everyone plays them, installing small-rewards and leveling factors that make players believe because they're progressing in the meaningless storyline (or even less meaningless multiplayer) it is accomplishing anything.
LoL isn't a good game. It's a good use of time and a good thinking-project. But putting LoL above Mario? You should be ashamed!
The exception to the above rant is Halo, GTA:SA, CoD4 and the fighers. Possibly CSS as well.

Well yeah it is basically preference. That doesn't mean I don't think Zelda, Pokemon, Mario etc are bad. They are legendary games. My list consists of games I've probably sunk the most hours in by far.

I mean the thread says 'your favourite' not 'best games of all time'. If it were that, I'm pretty sure everyone would have very similar lists.

 

Halo 2 & 3 probably deserved a spot on my list as well. Fantastic games, Halo is what made me an Xbox fan for life, as since the Xbox I have gone to Xbox 360 + now Xbox One.

Looking forward to Master Chief Collection to play Halo 2 on some multiplayer maps again.

 

In no particular order:

Call of Duty series (only like a couple really but the $ they gross can't be overlooked)

Very true, but do you think you'd have the same fun playing it today? I've returned to some of my old favourites like Fighting Force on PS1 and it was really unbearable, i feel like as technology advances so do my standards

 

Can't say I agree. But, I suppose it depends on the game and person. For example, another favorite of mine is "Golden Sun" on GBA and I recently started playing it again and fell in love with it again. <3
