    New Dicing Ideas

    I'm bored and laid off. I was thinking, why is it dice is always whoever rolls the highest?

    Part of the fun in gambling is the thrill. Why not try a few new games?

    -Low roll. Lowest roll wins, it's that easy.

    -First to roll 7. Both people roll at the same time. First to roll a 7 wins. If both roll 7 at once, the game continues until there is no tie.

    -60 Wins. First person to roll a total of 60 or better (add up each roll) wins. Both players roll at once. If there is a tie, the score resets to zero and they start over.

    -Around the world. This one is a bit more complicated and requires a real good host, some paper, and a fun audience. First person to roll a 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 wins. Yes, they must roll EVERY combination of dice. This will require a lot of dice and patience, but will ultimately be the most entertaining.

    Those are just a few. I like gambling, the thrill is amazing, but what better way to really make that thrill come alive than to have longer gambling sessions with the same amount of money? If Johnny and Timmy each bet 1 billion and play 60 wins, that's 6-8 rolls of them keeping their fingers crossed, instead of just one.

    These are some really great ideas, It would get a bit confusing for current popular dice clans to start doing games like this but I think these are excellent ideas for up and coming dice clans. I really like the around the world idea.

    I've always found the thrill in boxing and staking was the length and time it took to fight. It's the butterflies in the stomach as your stuff is on the line.

    The older dice clans would need to do a little work to incorporate them, but I think if the dicers themselves called the rulesets (or if the host could call a random rulset before saying begin to give the dicers a bit of a curveball) it could get interesting. Of course, allow the players to veto.

    Would be a bit confusing for randomers who wish to gamble, some of them, especially the 2-12 rolls would probably have to be organized ahead of time as opposed to walk-ins

    Dicing knows no limits. If you're dicing, you can make-up your own rules. Just make sure they get out there and known.

    I agree with this exactly Thats why I'd rather stake then dice. It' s more of a fun way then just giving someone your money and hoping for the best in the next 10 seconds. I think different games would work fine in a dicing chat, every host can just be hosting a different type of game and they can be calling it out.

    its a lot simpler how it is now and people dont dice to have fun, they do it to win money

    Also why do people only use percentile dice and 2,6 sided? why not use others:p?

    i like these ideas, could possibly have hosts make threads, and get people to post on them the wagers they want to do and the style, and people who are interested can contact the host, so they can organise a time and place to do the bet.

    I like these ideas. But explaining them to each and everyone will take time. The current dicing methods/ways are just set now and are very well known..

    I think that's the point exactly. I think that the hosts (assuming these methods stick) should be open to new techniques as defined by the players. If one players suggests playing around the world, and clearly explains the rules to both the host and the other player, it should fall on the responsibility of the host to accept the terms and record the rolls, and declare a winner based on the ruleset.

    Also, for those interested in trying some of these, I only gamble small bets (~100k) but you can find me at W2, NorthEast of the GE (spirit tree) with Dragon Dyce. I'm the one who looks the most noobish and talks the most eloquently :)

    I don't dice to make money and refuse to dice my assets. Gambling to me is a social event, and I'd love to make it more of a social event for more people. I'm considering setting up a coffee corner at Dragon Dyce where people can come and talk about anything. Politics, life, merchanting, etc. It'd be good for DD business and a good way to pass the time.
