Lmao I wonder which crypto currency person pissed of Facebook. I get scam ads all the time for the same 5 websites that are never removed by Facebook. Ads for buying fake jerseys and to obtain details that they can sell illegally, yet they crack down on this

This isn't really a big deal, the big cryptos didn't need ads on FB to succeed. I'd imagine it's mainly scams like Bitconnect that would advertise there.

To be fair 90% of the adverts regarding crypto weren't even worth seeing, bunch of no name ICO's and 'how to invest in bitcoin' get rich quick schemes. There's no denying it will effect interest from the general population considering facebook's potential reach when it comes to advertising though.

Regardless of it being logical or not, everyone knows about gold and the US dollar already. The more exposure for crypto the better, even if it’s from meaningless ads.

Also, I do see ads about gold and stocks etc

There is a misconception here. Mark (who I do not like) decided that he is going to spend the next few months to really get a grasp on crypto.

My guess? FB will either implement a coin (not in the top 15-20) or create their own. This would essentially make FB stock sky rocket and they know that.

Thats what i was thinking this morning, if FB made a coin themselves that would be huge. Others may follow.
