Searching the world wide web for a new laptop for gaming. Kinda tired of consoles and want to get into pc gaming. I don't want to jump into buying some supper expensive 1500+ desktop that i have no idea how to build. Thought id start with a laptop. So on my adventures i came across this: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230491

$899 is probably a little over my limit but i could somehow gather the cash for it.
Anyone have experience with this laptop? Would i be able to run BF3,crisis or skyrim on it at medium-ish settings?

Ill also post the specs here:

From the specs, it seems like a very nice gaming laptop, and should handle the games you've named fine on high settings. ASUS makes great gaming laptops, and you will have no regrets on getting one.

I have the Asus G75, and it's great. I'd recommend getting this. I've been a fan of Asus laptops for quite some time now. My old one is about 3 years old and is still running strong, I ended up giving it to my dad when I got the new one.

Yes, you will be able to play said games at medium settings or better. If you plan to play at native resolution, medium will be accomplishable. You can play with overclocking if you are savvy enough to understand the consequences of doing it wrong. You'll want to buy a laptop cooler though, if you even want to think about overclocking your gpu... If you keep it cool you will be able to get more out of your games.
Just remember, your warranty will become null and void once you do this.

I have a G73 which is actually a step below that one and it runs great.

35 fps in skyrim on these settings. You can get over 60 easily just by clocking down a few settings.

It's awesome! The G75 is better but for 899$ (it's on sale(original price:1300$)) It's a bad-ass.. You can run any game you want from med-max settings

I have the G74SX-BBK5 and it runs like a fuckin' champ. Definitely worth the money. I've had it for near a year and I never even bothered buying the warranty. Badass laptop to say the least
