    Greatest fear ever realized?

I don't mean spiders, heights or anything like that. I mean something situational.

For an example, and also my greatest fear:

Whenever the time comes for me to die, at any moment I want to be prepared. For example, if I was murdered in cold blood walking down the street I would want people to know what happened. I wouldn't want people making false accusations about me, like it was a drug deal gone bad...or I instigated a fight with the perpetrator. Making me look like I ultimately did something wrong. I want my death to be justified and dignified.

    Now it's your turn, Go.

It would probably have to be dying and my family not being able to ever find my body or remains. Not only is it hard for the family, but they also have false hopes that I could still be alive, and just grief even longer.

    Greatest fear ever realized?

A family member/friend in an alone situation where they have a very high chance of dying without help(drowning, choking, bigger situations, etc.) and me knowing that something is happening, yet I cannot get to them for whatever reason to save them. At the same time, I'm panicking about losing them and me not knowing what to do.

I used to have bad anxiety when I was young. Most of it came from when I knew a close relative was somewhere alone or I was the only one with them and I would occasionally panic about thoughts of everything bad that could occur and me feeling like I couldn't do anything to prevent them. Even now I have these same thoughts popping up, but thankfully not near as often.

    Greatest fear ever realized?

Another one of mine is just being accused of something that I didn't do and having that follow me throughout my life.

ie I get convicted of a murder that I wasn't even involved in, yet I get served the death penalty. All the while people believe I actually committed the crime.

    Greatest fear ever realized?

Being physically paralyzed from an accident of some sort, I seriously could not cope.

It's probably not finding out about what happened to person if they were murdered.

    Greatest fear ever realized?

My uncle was in an accident many years ago and ended up quadriplegic (paralyzed from the neck down, unable to move anything except slight movement of his right hand as a whole - not individual fingers).

This has always been a deep, deep fear of mine since I was a child; to end up totally helpless and in a state like that where life would literally be a living hell, yet being unable to die on your own terms because of societies views of euthanasia. He spent 9 years lying in a bed day after day, going to the bathroom all over himself, totally helpless and dependant on nurses and probably wishing he was dead, until one day during surgery he caught a blood infection and he died peacefully. This has, and always will, remain in my mind as one of my greatest fears. The ultimate feeling of helplessness and despair and of being trapped in a physical body you are unable to control.

My second deepest fear is having an unhealthy child. I have a slight fear in the back of my mind always, that one day all my days of drug and alcohol use will come back to haunt me, and I will unknowingly pass on some really bad DNA to my unborn child and my child will be born into this world with a severe handicap or mental condition. That would kill me, I feel so bad for any parents who have experienced this situation before.

Also - going to prison for either something I didn't do/something that I did in a split second without meaning to, ie. getting in a bar fight and killing somebody and getting a voluntary manslaughter/murder charge and going to prison.

My worst fear has to be to die without telling your loved ones, who every they maybe. The worst way to be told you are dying or has died is when a doctor tells you, or from a funeral card. RIP Grandad

My worst fear so far, is to fall down and somehow break/bend
my elbow and knee joints the other direction.

    That is my greatest fear.

    Greatest fear ever realized?

The scariest thing that has ever happened to me was when I was younger my sister slipped on a rock and fell into a river that was flowing really fast, I went in to get her and twisted my ankle, I barely got the both of us out, and I just kind of laid there for a bit, it was really scary, and to this day I have a slight fear of the water.

I guess my worst fear would be of getting paralized and not being able to walk ever again.

    Greatest fear ever realized?

    Brilliant thread topic.

My greatest fears are admittedly superficial ones. Being perceived as a failure by ex-lovers, family disownment, waking up every day at 5:30 AM, carrying on with the same work routine for the rest of my life (Construction- electrician specifically).

On the topic of death; I often romanticize mine. The funeral, the tears shed, the slideshow, the general gathering of people i've met in my life. Pretty narcissistic, i know.

Dying and no one comes to my funeral.

The greatest fear of mine if being nearby when someone I love is in a life or death situation and not being able to help, and they die because I couldn't help.

What the fuck is wrong with you..? Jesus...

ANYWAYS, I think I have claustrophobia. If I have to squeeze through something, I FREAK out. The thought of being stuck in something, like a chimney or a well where I'm unable to move around scares the hell out of me.

    Greatest fear ever realized?

I think I might have that to a degree...like if the space was vertical(like I could turn sideways and go through), I don't find that bad...it's the horizontal ways that freak me out, like if I have to crawl under something/go under something low. It's one of the reasons I hate those car garages(the ones in bigger cities, etc) with the low ceilings.

Exactly, and the inability to help them alongside the panicking/freaking out about not knowing what to do makes it even worse.

Haha! I think what he meant to say is that you have a very twisted, morbid fear lol. It sounds like you have put alot of thought into your fear, or you watch alot of horror movies or something.
