What kind of headphones do you own?

I'm curious to see what kind of headphones you guys use, primarily for music but if a gaming headset is all you own I'm interested to hear.

I ask because I've gone through maybe about 4-5 different headsets enjoying the increased audio quality each time.

So, what kind of headphones do you own?

 

Currents: AKG K701s (open ear, studio quality) - had trouble with customer service (or lack there of); never buying from them again, and JVC HA-FXC51's with Comply Foam tips (in ears, memory foam tips). Honestly, they're both really good.

Tried: Plantronic GameCom 780s didn't fit comfortably over my fat head.
Tested: Steel Series Siberia V2's Frozt Edition (my brother has them)... they seem to be comfortable so I might try them the next time I get money.

Have owned Turtle Beach HPA2's and Z6As in the past. Would never buy them again.

I also owned Ultimate Ears Super.Fi5's EB... I have to say they were really nice, but the wires went and the company gave me trouble with my warranty replacement (this was prior to the buyout from Logitech).

I also have another set of headphones (over ears) laying around somewhere that I used to use... Just not sure where. They were okay but not outstanding to the point I would purchase them again.

 

Something from sony. It has very good bass.

 

What do u think of the AKG's skateman? They're on my maybe list for an upgrade. also what do you use to power them?

currently using Audio Technica AD700s, average for music i want better(not sure what tho ), gaming wise the positional audio is topnotch.

previously owned is siberia v2s and some plantronic ones, both suck ass compared to my ad700s lel

Bowers & wilkins P7's. anything else is just a waste of time and money/effort. Once you try them, you'll never go to anything else...in terms of sound quality and reproduction...the clarity is above all and the sound is spot-on perfect. It's kinda like pissing in the wind. It never works out unless you do it just right..so do it right the first time.

G930 7.1 Wireless Gaming Headset

 

Using sennheiser hd 650's with a schiit modi/vali right now, I've been pleased with them.

 

That's some good Schiit. I have the Lyr and Bifrost and I like them both. How do you like the Vali? I've never used a tube amp that cheap before.

 

Thanks I've really been enjoying the setup. You're lucky, after the headphones I didn't have money for that schiit. =p I'll definitely upgrade eventually.

As far as the vali goes I've been really impressed with it. Schiit is known for making amazingly good products for the price. It honestly sounds 5x what it costs.

 

The only headphones I own are the PDP Prismatic Afterglow Headset. I am not a heavy music listener so I have never really cared for having a decent set of headphones.

My husband on the other hand is an audiophile and hates anything that is not Senheiser.

Same here, X11s all day. Pretty nice set if you ask me.

 

I have just a set of Walmart buds for workouts and a set of R.E.Ds for when I'm snowboarding.

 

Cheapo £10 Phillips headphones - never felt like the audio was bad etc. Use the Apple iPhone 5 buds for sports.

 

I use a Sennheiser PC323d headset. It sounds very great for the price, and the virtual 7.1 surround sound actually does a great job. I will never get another headset unless its made by Sennheiser. Friends and I have wasted too much money on shit headsets, once you go Sennheiser you will never go back.
