Doubling Scam Bans

Just out of interest (after being really dumb and lossing heaps of cash to a fake doubler), if a doubler is reported for scamming after he scams you, will he get banned?


Have any of you got a doubler banned? Have any of you been banned for doubling?

 

I think the most Jagex do for them is just mute them, as for banning them, I have no idea. They should though, god knows how many innocent players have been conned due to this.

 

i highly doubt it, people get scammed all the time in rs and get reported, nothing ever happens.

 

Who loses money to a doubler? That is probably the dumbest thing to do, at least getting lured it takes someone mildly clever in most cases.


But ontopic. I have seen a couple doublers muted by player mods or whatever, but I have never seen a ban.

 

What makes it worse are the real doublers. I actually got a significant stack of cash doubled by a legit one, then gave it all away to a scammer one. Not good.

 

there is no such thing as a "legit doubler". a legit doubler is a bad scammer that waited too long to scam you / you were doubling what he had given you in the first place

 

Nope, this guy was actually legit.

 

A legit doubler is running more of a pyramid scheme, Taking 10 mill from 2 people giving 20 mill to one then continuing untell hes caught in the end they can run with a crap ton of money because of all of the people claiming hes legit around him.

 

I've noticed that in the time I played RuneScape, they never got banned. It seems that they just "get away with it".

 

Maybe Jagex just bins all the scamming reports.

 

I scam the doubler.

I give him 50k as a test and say if it works i'll try doubling 5M
He gives me 100k.
I leave.

power, what i do is start with 50k and then make him double the 50k he gave me, and then i double 100k, i do this just to see how far he'll go xD

and concerning legit doubler, i remember this vid on youtube where the guy made like 700 mil profit in 20 mins of doubling, he'd start off being legit nd shit doing pretty big ones (50-100M's) and then be like 400M for purple (when it was like 850-900M) and hurry it and some1 would eventually fall for it and when he did he'd trade everyone and accept everything they give him and not give back. a doubler is a scam waiting to happen.

remember this: no-one is gonna give you money for free, wether on runescape or in real-life , unless you win the lottery or something.

 

I've tried beating doublers like you describe before, but they simply log out with my test trade. What makes it more pathetic is that I usually just test trade with 5k lol.

 

There is no easy way to get money on Runescape.
Doublers are a scam truthfully. Just earn it the legit way.

As for them getting banned, they won't. Jagex'd

 

Jagex hasn't issued scamming bans in years, it's not going to happen

 

I have been scammed by dice host, flower host, and so on and I know that it wasn't their first time scamming either because they scammed me around 5-10mil only and people bet them like 50mil+. Of course people report them and everything and I still see the same people still taking pots and stuff and still not banned. JaGex doesn't seem to care about the scammers in the game but more about the botters and glitchers.

 

If you say doubling money and get reported you'll be muted for a day, regardless of whether you're legit or not, they don't check that.

 

I've seen this video too, he did it at duel arena I believe.
He kept doing a few big ones, then started saying X amount for partyhats, he took al trades and left with like 850M profit or so.
